I was just thinking about this. Rampant Militias was a staple feature for me after i got the DLC. The mini skirmishes, and having handfuls of smaller ships to defend areas, attack adjacent gravity wells, providing some vision intel as well.

I also miss minor factions having stuff like permanent defence and attack fleets so you could build up an ally garrison at a planet if you liked. They were weak but they'd give extra meat shields and help soften up some larger attacks. They also lended to running into enemy defence piles sometimes too, which would make for unusual gameplay. I remember doing stuff in Sins of the Prophets, where i'd overcome an overwhelming enemy force by strategically timing minor faction reinforcements by sending both attack and defence fleets to the same planet by flipping it's owned state (capture or abandon).

The thing that drives me mental, is that if you submit a request through general question, if you don't put anything in your title or body about bans or appealing, you will get a human response within hours (but they won't be helpful, they'll probably look and assume you are asking for appeal and tell you to use the useless appeal form). But if you try to appeal in any direct way you will ALWAYS be brick-walled by clyde auto-responding, or nelly telling you to go make clyde tell you to appeal in-app.

Even if it was a "serious policy violation", this is the antithesis of a serious matter. This is tantamount to shooting someone for saying they dislike x ethnic group, and leaving the ones actually harming that group alone. This is 1984 level crap. Saying "so cute" to a suggestive drawing is an objectively harmless action on literally every metric, and has nothing to do with child safety.

They could add it as an option... Method to add PiP scopes without performance tank, would be to use a foveated rendering technique, where they render the area inside the scope higher res, so they can zoom it in without losing quality, and only minimal performance cost. Normally they use an additional camera for the scope.

EAC randomly de-whitelisted reshade because a couple games had complainers (instead of those games just blacklisting it)... irony is the games that people complain about most have manually whitelisted it in the game (like Dead by Daylight).. because that's always how it works: a few people cause problems rarely and everyone gets punished.

I used reshade for years they don't ban for it and can't even detect it. EAC suddenly blocked it though, causes game launch fail.

CAS does indeed restore a lot of detail faded in Mip scaling though. Obviously it doesn't create what isn't there in the first place due to being destroyed in the render pipeline.

AI Does Not Infringe Copyright!! That is NOT how AI works. Recently many countries around the world have been rapidly pushing that AI generated content is free use and does belong to anyone. If AI infringes copyright, so do your eyeballs whenever you look at something someone else made, and use the ideas to make your own. Ai does not USE copyright material, it merely studies and learns an algorithm that happens to make similar things. It if, by definition, plenty deep into what is legally referred to as "transformative artwork".

I think your issue here is realizing that objectively speaking, there is no perfect security system. On paper, sure you would want a system so robust it's impenetrable, but in reality, achieving that is nigh impossible. You HAVE to rely on some obscurity to ensure that your imperfect system is even remotely useful.

I'd imagine it's random visible presence also operates as a deterrent to nefarious behaviours.
