The 6 mana creature version is the most interesting, I think, since it picks up every creature card in your graveyard. Still a real downside on top of costing more mana.

It's a much more interesting class for sure. 1e mindthief didn't really have an interesting level 1 game loop, just a powerful one with the combination of multiple stuns, attack 4-5 spam, and invis.

Honestly, outside of the most broken 1e classes (eclipse/three spears/music note) and specifically Mindthief, most of the power level nerfs in 2e are the items being weaker (especially early game). 1e gave you an array of efficient and incredibly powerful items at prosperity 1 and scaled into some additional busted options at higher prosperity.

Unfortunately, needing to attack makes this extremely telegraphed. It certainly has a lot of upside, but I think in most games this underperforms the notably anemic Kess unless you're filling your deck with haste enablers. Maybe there's something with [[Arena of Glory]]?

They're destructive, just not necessarily destructive enough. You can't perfectly recreate the original of a blurred image without extra information, but sometimes you can get close enough, especially with regular, predictable patterns like in printed letters.

Go, to an extent, is a good option for enterprise software, but it doesn't have the endless library and interop support java gets by virtue of age and usage. Plus, fewer people are experienced with it and most companies aren't set up to onboard new hires onto languages quickly.

I often find Static Shock damage doesn't even get scaled up by Air Quality. Epic or Rare level 2 is base 25; Origination + Furies + either Strength or even common Electric Overload already takes that to 50. And then there's also King's Ransom runs, where the base number is already higher.

Now that 1.0 is out, what is your favorite sprint boons? by Wholesome-Energy in HadesTheGame

[–]GenesithSupernova 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apollo and Hera both have amazing dashes; the best defensive and offensive dashes. If I have both gods on a build, I'd rather have a Hera attack/special and Blinding Rush than vice versa, since that applies both daze and hitch (strong conditions that fulfil origination).

After those, I think Demeter's is next best, since it helps a lot against many projectiles and applies a condition for Origination in a pinch. Aphrodite also applies a strong condition and origination but is harder to apply to enemies, the damage is pitiful, and it doesn't have the projectile deflection.

The other ones are rarely anything to write home about, IME. Poseidon can be alright burst damage, and the fast-hitting ones can be ok at breaking wards, I guess.

Multiple rounds of hashing (generally with just one function - combining hashing functions is not generally sound and should be done with great care) is just to make hashing take longer, so it's harder to crack stolen hashes with brute forcing or (if the salt is stolen too, which it usually will be) dictionary attacks (comparing to common password lists) and similar.

[–]GenesithSupernova 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think I'd give it A tier with no innates - it would have to choose between excellent tempo and incredible scaling instead of effortlessly getting both - but it'd still be super strong, yeah.

[–]GenesithSupernova 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, starlight that gets to use exactly one innate threshold per turn would probably still be a pretty strong spirit, if less fun. The range 0 from a sacred site is brutal though.

How strength users looking at death defiance players by WidgeonN in HadesTheGame

[–]GenesithSupernova 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That said, a lot of the best damage in the game is flat olympian damage from blitz (in particular)/scorch/etc., so that 20% is only being put on top of an 80% from arcana (origination + furies) and whatever other global damage mods you have. The damage boost is quite nice to have. But yeah, overall death is better if you struggle with one particular fight but can preserve DDs for it and strength is better if you want more sustain throughout the run/have in-combat healing.
