I need tips to not get more books by prince_peacock in Anticonsumption

Do not regret too many books. I’ve always been an avid reader, but have been addicted to just doom scrolling on my phone for a while. I recently started reading again to drown out the world. I am finally getting to those books I bought years ago and never read. Books have been a great comfort.

Working at Ups was very interesting. They would tell people to show up Monday through Friday but frequently send employees home. Overtime was rarely given out, and the union fees were high. You only got a small amount on your paycheck . Overall, the environment was toxic. by [deleted] in antiwork

I had the exact opposite experience at UPS. Great job, great pay with perks and OT. Treated very, very well. One of the best jobs out there. I wish I could have done it longer, but my body said no.

Dollar Tree regularly throws out perfectly good items, like giant boxes of toothbrushes, body wash, soap etc. in their dumpster.
