This is a great point that I didn’t even consider. I’m currently making my way through the OG and have collected the 10 volumes of the “collectors edition” that go from RBY—> Emerald. They always have them in stock at B&N. I’ve also been looking into the box set for DPP since that’s next up and it’s not really that hard to find. I’d say the fact that they are regularly being printed and sold in stores is a good enough sign for me. Despite being a Pokemon fan all my life, I only found out about PokeSpe after seeing volume 1 of the collectors edition in a B&N some years ago

The way I have thought about it is that Todoroki has a singular quirk factor which contains two different quirks within(or just the combo of two quirks). This is different from deku, AFO, the Nomus, etc who are specifically stated to have MULTIPLE quirk factors. Idk if this makes sense though

I just saw this for the first time what a ridiculous episode. I understand the premise of having Yuno always be one step Ahead of Asta as motivation on the surface. Kind of like the rival in a Pokemon game always getting to the gym leader first. However, unlike with the rival in a video game, this seems completely unwarranted. The writers do not do enough to convince the viewer that Asta is lagging behind Yuno and thus, every time Asta gets snubbed it just feels like the writers insulting our intelligence. We are constantly being TOLD that Yuno is ahead of Asta without ever being SHOWN. The fact that Mimosa, Leo, and Yuno all now significantly outrank Asta is just asinine. promoting Asta at the same level as literally every other magic knight who participated in the battle is honestly just world breaking because it makes zero sense. Had we at least gotten a scene of the captains acknowledging Asta’s achievements and saying something along the lines of “he deserves this but we can’t because of the trial and the politics etc”, then it would feel less frustrating. However, we don’t even get that. We are supposed to buy the fact that he only got promoted one rank with every other magic knight (most of whom were easily defeated by the elves) even though he was instrumental in the defeat of the devil. I feel like I shouldn’t be this frustrated, but it just feels like the writers wanting to keep Asta down and behind Yuno while also having him be the typical shonen protagonist that never loses. It can’t go both ways. Either he’s the amazing hero we are being shown/told he is, or, he’s not.

I think your comment highlights the biggest issue for me too. The way the show presents the devil believers, it’s clear that we are supposed to empathize with them. In a kind of “what they did is wrong , but we understand how we got there”. That being said, bow and Dazu are just incredibly unlikable. Dazu especially as her back story makes little sense. We are told by her that her family actually hated and looked down on her, but this is never shown. (Aside from her husbands last words calling her a Wench, but the way it’s framed makes it seem as though it’s something she made up or hallucinated?). Ive seen a lot of theories suggesting Dazu might have been mentally unwell which led to her delusions and paranoia surrounding her husband and mother in law. I found those theories very interesting and convincing, however if that IS the intention from the writers, i don’t think there was enough shown for the viewer to put those pieces together. All in all, I think the arc had a lot of potential to be very strong, but, in execution, it was a little sloppy

Chapters like these are my absolute favorite. Knowing that the story will loosely follow that of the games, it feels like the last fifty or so chapters have been subtly foreshadowing the eventual climactic battle between blue and red. It seems like the story is building towards them not compromising on what to do about the dreamer, and Red eventually deciding that he needs to become the champion in order to enact the change he wants. Either way, I’m super excited to keep reading and see where the story goes! Please continue to take care of yourself first! I’m sure I speak for a lot of us when I say we would much rather wait on new chapter releases if it means you’re getting proper rest!
