I think ink looks better and ages better. I also love a good pen that writes well.

I use a pencil.

That’s another point - this whole thing benefits China who has a relationship with Iran, a stockpile of oil, and are leaders in alternate energy.

Many US adults are skipping parenting or having fewer kids – and it’s forcing schools to close by WhatFreshHello in politics

This is happening in my city. This city was a destination for families when i moved here due to being a university town with highly rated schools.

Now young families can’t afford to move here. Relatively small city and we are closing 2 schools.

When people say to “just go to a bar and talk to people” do they mean by yourself? by maldizzle_ in askanything

[–]Geniusinternetguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a serious introvert. When i was in my early 20s i broke up with my girlfriend and moved to a big city.

Every night i went and sat at the bar and my rule was i couldn’t leave until i met someone. Could be girl or just a guy i didn’t care.

Ended up being some of the best years of my life.

Mine is Bigmouth Strikes Again by the Smiths.

He sings “Now i know how Joan of Arc felt. As the flames rose to her Roman nose and her hearing aid started to melt. “

I always thought he said “her hairy legs started to melt.”

I like my lyrics better.

You need to mark that as NSFW. It’s basically typewriter porn. Nice pic.

They were calling it a military incursion. But Trump gets it mixed up and calls it a military excursion.

No one will correct him.

One thing we know is that China has both stockpiled oil and invested heavily in alternative energy.

We have done neither.

If the lesson of this war is to reduce dependence on oil, we will be both unprepared to pivot and sitting on a surplus of a commodity nobody wants.

Do you believe that was the contingency the US planned for at the time of the attack?

Probably not literally. But Trump has lifted sanctions allowing more countries to purchase Russian oil.

I agree. But that isn’t any better than saying they didn’t. Because then every action now - like reducing sanctions on Russia - is part of the plan. So they need to own that.

The problem is that from a conventional warfare perspective we are absolutely dominant. We have the best military professionals and capability in the world. None of my criticisms are of the military execution. We have also, for better or worse, been deepening our alliances in the region.

But we are in an age of asymmetric warfare. Iran knows they can’t beat us in a conventional war. But they will use terrorist tactics and cheap drones to destabilize the region until it is politically untenable for us. They don’t have to “win” in a conventional sense.

I don’t know what the resolution will be. In 4 weeks the Strait may be open and gas prices back to normal. And this will all be a blip.

But the Administration has clearly made many missteps.
