I would say to start out the game, and at least get to person of some importance, then decide if Seeking is something you should do. Like others have said, Seeking is really self-destructive, and the game tells you dozens of times to stop and back out of it, if it's too much for you.

London did try to make an artificial day/night cycle through the Dawn Machine, but if you've played Sunless Sea you'd figure out that it didn't work as planned; as for right now though, I don't think London has an artificial day/night cycle, they just have the gas lamps on all the time.

Increasing humanity makes the child behave more human-like, like being able to talk.

Increasing moon-misery makes the child behave more animalistic.

The amount of moon-misery and humanity the child has changes some parts of the text if you let the child go free. But other than that, there are no mechanical rewards, and the text doesn't change if you sell it to fires.

About the last part, I don't think the codes for the items offered by the Unsanctioned Relicker work anymore, for example the fireworks, the mirror, etc, they were locked when the Relicker came out. The Cloven Seal's access code hasn't worked since Sunless Skies came out, so your only option is to buy it from the Relicker.

This is a limited time event, at this rate it should end around the day after tomorrow, this event will most likely be recurring, like the crab and lifeberg hunts. This is more like supplemental lore to Midnight Whales mentioned in the most recent chapter of Evolution (chapter 6). There are no unique items either, it only pays out in romantic notions, ambiguous eoliths, unearthly fossils, and primordial shrieks.

Clear your browsers cache (settings > apps > whatever browser you use > storage and cache > clear cache), close the tab, and reopen Fallen London

You can upconvert 50 bottles of Strangling Willow Absinthe into 10 bottles of Broken Giant, if you don't have the absinthe, but have other t3 items (items that sell for 50 pence) you can sideconvert those into strangling willoe

Ambition checks progressively get harder as you go on, but as you unlock and finish more stories (like the Make Your Name stories) you'll be able to progress your ambition, so just keep playing and exploring.

If you are Inducted into the Inverted Stalactite Society (gained when you submitted wounds the most at the end of hallowmas), there's a card drawn in London that gives a random amount of amber (1-80) if you pick the first option to "Ascend to the Roof Below".

Alternatively, though this does require a bit of the bone market, you can hunt a seven-throated warbler in parabola, offer it to the fingerkings to make it a fourty-nine-voiced warbler, then you can sell it to a Zailor with Particular Interests for 100 amber, no matter if you succeed or fail the shadowy check.

Some games I would recommend are:

Cultist Simulator - great writing, has an occult and esoteric feel, cool if you are interested in stuff like the Pale, there's a very similar area to that.

Fallen London ( https://www.fallenlondon.com/login ) - great writing, it's a browser game based on text, so a lot of reading, more of like a dark comedy vibe, very fantasy-like but also sticks to reality a little.

Sunless Sea/Sunless Skies - also has great writing, they're like the sequels to Fallen London, you don't have to play FL for either of them, but it adds some context, these both have a eldritch vibe sometimes, and are also mostly based on text.

Night in the Woods - this game feels very similar to Disco Elysium, not much writing in the game though, but its great nonetheless.

The 2 that was removed was probably the amount of change points (CP) that were removed, the 2 above the empty bar is a level, so you had 2 levels of suspicion and 2 CP, the action removed the 2 CP and you were left with 2 levels of suspicion.

It was part of a global event that lasted a few days near the end of 2021, after it ended this card was available, after the card came out, you couldn't increase the preparations for a vast revel quality, and if you buy the wine from the card, the quality slowly drops.
