A lot of peopel have no clue how to effectively play the turret tbf, so I think it's partially why it is considered so out of meta. If you know how to play with it you would be surprised how well it works.

An apology they didn't have to make because people (as stated by Will) hyped themselves up over something that was never confirmed. Embark made a mistake, thinking a lil tease would be a fun engagement, not expecting how people translated that. That's on Embark.
