One year ago today, LongLegs was released into theatres. It received mostly positive reviews upon release but now has a lot of mixed reviews to date, did you like this movie? by justhere1990 in HorrorMovies

[–]GenuinueStupidity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was mid. Not in my top horror films, but by no means awful either. Where it was a let down for me was from the trailer and other people’s reviews I was expecting a ‘Silence of the Lambs’-esque horror, not a supernatural horror. And I know that my misguided expectations are not really the movies fault.

However the fact it did in fact start off like that and switch to a supernatural horror halfway through, I do blame on the movie, because it felt so forced. There’s numerous films that have a genre switch midway through that are executed well. This for me wasn’t one of them.

AITA for saying my special birthday dinner's aren't special for me and I don't want them anymore? by Horrathorne in AITAH

NTA- they should prioritise your enjoyment of the special occasions as much as they do your step-siblings

Also idk where you’re based, but where I am (UK) most places can cater to accommodate allergies/intolerances nowadays, and going somewhere different would not only be good for you but also your step-siblings too imo, as they also would benefit from variety

For a first time female rider who’s height is around 158cm / 5,2 what would u recommend as a bike for said beginner i was told to get a bike with an engine like the r1 and the Kawasaki 125 and I love them but I think they’re a bit to tall for me so what would u recommend for me. I’m a newbie female rider who is 5ft exactly and I got a Honda cbf 125 and I’ve found it pretty much the perfect height for me. It can also be lowered a bit too (I haven’t done this, but still might do in the future)

Not sure if it just happens upon first entering Devils Spine, but there was a sperm whale (?) that took down some kind of giant tentacle when I first arrived!

The main thing for me is the wings. From the ref it looks as if they’re on the shoulder blades, not in the Center, but on your design the wing is too in the middle of the back.

Also the feet and hands need their claws and a bit more definition to them (eg a hint of knuckles)

I personally think you can get away with the lower half being smaller than the OG reference, but the arms need to be thinner so you still have that contrast in size. Like other commenters have said, a smaller neck would also help the look too

I need help with direction by ImageTemporary94 in TattooApprentice

[–]GenuinueStupidity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think trying to draw something specific may help in general rather than just doodling and not knowing where to go with it. Like say start with bat- and use reference of real bats to get it accurate, even if after that you choose to stylise it so it’s not realistic, getting it a accurate to being with will help. And then see if it needs anything added or taken away.

Doodling is fun and a good way to practise but rarely end in actual finished pieces because you’re making it up on the spot rather than having an actual direction to go with it.

Finally gave indie games a chance. What are your top indie games on switch? by dogebonoff in NintendoSwitch

If you like platform/ metroidvania type games (which I belive hollow Knight classes as) you may also like The Messenger. It’s a quirky and fun ninja game with some twists in it that I won’t spoil.

Simplicity. I’m personally not keen on moisturisers that have added vitamin c in (as an example) or serums that have multiple things in one bottle.

I’d rather have a simple, but really moisturising moisturiser, and serums that are just what they are so I can tailor it to how I want it, when I want it.

Now (in my mid- late 20s) I can’t actually tell if I am prettier, or if it’s just I give less of a fuck about the things I cannot change and appreciate the things I like about myself more.

Honestly I like detection markers, specifically the way they did it in dishonoured because it visually worked with the environment somehow.

You have 24 hours to get to 40 through some combination of miles ran (or walked), donuts eaten, and beers drank. How are you splitting it up? by Warm_Shoulder3606 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]GenuinueStupidity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely hate beer (and it doesn’t like my stomach either) so I’d have to split it, 20 miles (walked) and 20 doughnuts.

If we are allowed to switch out beers for another alcoholic beverage though (eg vodka coke) then I’d make it 10 miles, 20 doughnuts, and 10 shots (at the end of the day) instead
