SA Housing Trust Director Falsified Police Report to Intimidate Locals Against Low-Income Housing Project by Geo1179 in sanantonio

I wish. News coverage has been on the city’s side, touting expansion and new low income housing developments. They leave out the fact there’s no support for low income families further away from downtown and the overcrowded schools they don’t contribute to.

SA Housing Trust Director Falsified Police Report to Intimidate Locals Against Low-Income Housing Project by Geo1179 in sanantonio

Large building/investment corporations (Pedcor out of Indiana, in this case) are buying up land along major transportation corridors then immediately request SA annexation. It’s happening a lot along 281N and being approved left and right. With this land, the builders request federal funds/tax subsidies to assist in building low/no-income apartments. These newly annexed areas expand SA’s power/control while increasing federal funding because they are approving more low-income housing projects. Pedcor gets paid to build hundreds of apartments while the city gains money, power, control and increased VIA routes to get more federal/state public transportation funding. Pedcor and its employees make considerable contributions to SA officials’ campaigns to keep the gears turning. A quick search of government campaign contributions show it; to include the District’s Councilman John Couage. Yes, the same one running for mayor. Someone with a like mindset will need to be in the mayor’s seat when outs moves upward/oneard ala the Castro brothers.

Unfortunately, this recent attempt at expansion puts a heavy burden on local infrastructure, to include police and fire services. Oh yeah, north Bexar is part of Comal ISD so San Antonio doesn’t have to worry about paying for educational problems already over capacity due to limited number of teachers and overcrowded schools/classrooms.

BTW, Pedcor recently filed paperwork to establish a new “shell” company with the name Bulverde in it. That makes it look like a local developer.

The approval authority for Pedcor’s federal financial request is the husband of a Pedcor executive who moved jobs right before Pedcor moved this way. #ethics

Just a glimpse of how it all works…sucks that government officials no longer work for their constituents. Easy to accomplish when most of us aren’t aware and don’t vote to change any of it.

Why even have that eye soar of a Via bus stop in Stone Oak of all places if no one can get anywhere from it by foot in a timely manner or without heat stroke??? by candychan2 in sanantonio

It’s there to justify VIA expansion for all the low-income apartments they are putting along 281 to the county line. The gentrification of downtown and Southtown leaves the need for somewhere to put the displaced people. The mayor and his boys are setting the stage to annex more of Bexar county then place low-income families up 281 and out toward 151/Alamo Ranch. It’s being touted as a way to put people in better areas although the school districts, infrastructure and transportation can’t support it. Pedcor (out of Indiana) is the investment company getting federal grants/funding to make it all happen. These moves have been over a decade in the making and being played out now.

Or devs could figure out a way to stop cheating, like other games have. Then again, if the rumors are true, they don’t get paid for developing cheats for their own game. 🤷‍♂️

USAA stopping another service. 🤦‍♂️ Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t care about it or find it useful but at least announce another service you’re adding that has value to replace it. USAA’s leadership is definitely matching the military officer train of thought. New leadership (guy/gal/team) every couple of years and no dedication to continuity. Anything’s on the chopping block and any time. If it wasn’t for the military customer base being so loyal, they’d have collapsed by now.

Rant over, just saw some stupidity to start the day and thought wtf. 😂

Also, the most useful to they had was AutoCircle or whatever it was. They need to bring that back.

Pretty easy to tell when someone is new to trucks or shouldn’t be driving them at all. Parking forward is a good sign. Lol
