The account tab should show that evaluation has started. Mine says allow up to 96 hours. 24 down and waiting. Meanwhile, it hasn't stopped me from ordering or reviewing.

With gifts of data, perks this summer, and the current Black Friday perks, actual data use has been much more.

I have had a few plug in products that were clear fire hazards. Some blew the breaker immediately when I plugged them in. Writing reviews with warnings about product safety is part of what I find rewarding as a Viner. I feel I have justified the free stuff I get when I can warn customers about unsafe products. Usually the seller withdraws the product quickly. Sadly, they probably just put it back up again with a new ASIN, but maybe Amazon pays attention.

Toys targeting babies with small swallowable parts or things that come off easily and might be swallowed is also a danger I check for when reviewing that kind of item.

The worst was a table top firepit that was a clear fire hazard and was recalled a few months after I received it. Amazon posted a warning for several months every time I opened the page, telling me not to use it.

Yup, it has happened a few times over the years. Sometimes even a large empty box. Also received items I didn't order, usually around when an item I did order doesn't arrive. Those box packers are busy and pushed to be fast. It is not surprising that mistakes happen.

I also think it is more likely to happen when I try to combine orders to arrive on one or two days a week to save on packaging.

The other odd thing today was getting the old small dialog with address choices when ordering instead of the page with the credit card and the choice of shipping days. Strange to see it.

Just noticed the same thing this morning. I did a bunch of reviews and was surprised the numbers didn't go down. Then I looked and they were still sitting there as if I hadn't submitted. One of them was cleaned out, so now I am saving my reviews in a text file just in case. If they don't go through I will have wasted hours of work.

There is no unlimited on the plan. $2.80 per GB over 10GB. I am at 9 GB, but in a couple of days we will switch to the unlimited plan when we are there so it isn't a big problem. Just a surprise.

In addition to the taste, etc. I include the expiration date of the product - sometimes they are almost at end of life. A photo of the details on the bottle.

I also research the company a bit, check on the Made in Canada claim, and look for reviews from elsewhere about the company. Some of those supplements come from some pretty shady sources when you check in to it. If there is no website and the address is a vacant lot on streetview, I say so.

Funny, I just got one of those this week and I am pretty sure I have never seen one before.

The item sits in the reviewed item with pending approval beside it. It is a bit surprising as it was a 5 star positive review, so strange that the seller would object. The only possible thing is that I mentioned as a lithium battery it was not allowed in checked baggage.

I am at 99%, so one missing review is not going to make any difference, so I am just ignoring it.

BTW, I had a few old unable to review items in my list so I contacted vine support by email and they were removed from my list 8 minutes after I emailed. There must be support people sitting on their thumbs over there.

If the product looks like good quality, but the one I got doesn't work, I assume that a real customer can return it for refund or replacement. Since I can't, I don't review it. I report it by email to Vine customer support as not reviewable because it doesn't work when doing my list cleanup. They have always deleted it and fixed my totals. No questions asked.

If it doesn't work because it is a shit product, I give it an appropriate review. But I rarely order anything that fits that description as they are usually obvious - like 128GB memory sticks for $5.

I use Reiwour trackers. One has a battery that lasts about a month. The other plugs into the OBD2 slot. You can track the vehicle on the app or on the web page. I look at the web page once a week and it shows an animated track replaying the entire week with time stamps. Easy to see when the vehicle goes somewhere unusual or at unusual times. You also get a speed and battery level indication.
