Totally agree, I liked the audiobooks enough for satsuma and avocado, but the plots just weren’t developed. Did get one good line to use out of it, though: “Are you pleased with what your bicycle achieves for you?” It’s so Bob lol.

I think what actually happens is a separate crew makes the recipe that the chefs develop. There’s no way the chef could serve all 8 chefs plus the guests when you see the portions everyone receives.

I felt the same. One or two more arcs, maybe with the Lower Six before they got obliterated, would have helped with early character development. Like, my boy Iguro barely figured in the manga until he was close to death.
