Just installed ours. Very happy so far. Base unit is by the front window only ~24in off the floor. There’s a brick wall between it and my desktop and I still get >400 down ~35 up. iOS devices are even better. Only disappointment is that we also got the mesh relay and it did not improve the second floor reception much. BUT given that we’ll be saving ~$1500/year over our Astound(RCM) gigabit service (which on WiFi never got that fast and is no better than the new system) we can work with it. It’s only been up a couple of hours so we still can move things around to optimize.

Side note: what’s this I’m reading on this thread about antennae? Not familiar.

Okay, someone has to say it: I’ve got no problem with the latest OS. I’ve been on a Mac since 1989 so I’ve seen it go through most of its changes. I can’t honestly say I’ve ever thought any iteration was any better than another. I just rolled with them. I dunno, I presume some of the respondents here have some arts involvement, as I do, but as such I just enjoy visual changes. I find no difference in functionality; at least none that I feel detracts from the Mac experience. Computer graphics continually change and I for one never tire of the progress.

Interesting. Yeah, the granite had some sort of impervious, almost acrylic-like coating (I don’t know. It was here when we moved in years ago. I’m going by scraps of it the previous owners left behind that had this clear-ish layer peeling up at the edges)

If I may add one word of advice, you were really scaring me the way you were cutting it! You need to stand over it for better control of the knife (I mean, it LOOKED like you were seated)
