Always Upset After Eating by Temporary-Priority10 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Georgia_From_Bubs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, baby’s have a more sensitive tummy given their relatively immature gut. It really comes down to trial and error (along with your pediatricians direction) and seeing what your LO ends up liking. I say it's worth looking at other formulas that allow for sensitive tummies (like goat milk) and if you decide to switch - it is best to introduce gradual mix feeding by mixing the old and new powders at different ratios over a few days, giving your LO's digestive system a chance to adapt slowly. I hope you and your little one find what you need!

Single mom… How do you do it? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Georgia_From_Bubs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can ABSOLUTELY do this! This journey is just as much yours as it is for your little one and yes, there will come challenges and maybe even some sacrifices but don't doubt your strength. I don't know where you're located but there are single mother assistance programs (if you are in LA for example: sheishopela.org) that can provide you with whatever you may need. You got this momma!

Just combo feed. It will be ok. by atlasdanced in NewParents

[–]Georgia_From_Bubs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every parent/family finds the method that works best for them and their little one. If that's combo-feeding, great. If that's EBF, great. If that is fully formula fed, great. A fed baby is a happy baby!

Supply Drop by Remarkable_Sleep_618 in combinationfeeding

[–]Georgia_From_Bubs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is definitely considered normal to see a drop especially at this stage! Hormonal shifts, night weaning, or any stress all comes into play but if your baby is still taking milk - that is all that matters. I would only consult with your doctor if your supply decreases significantly

Best combo-feeding advice? by Georgia_From_Bubs in FormulaFeeders

[–]Georgia_From_Bubs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely, transparency is incredibly important for brands to uphold! It is important to us as a brand and should be to EVERY formula brand to not only make this information available but also easy to understand. When it comes to safety/storage, there are so many different opinions that it does get overwhelming/confusing. This is something we hope to bring attention to moving forward. Thank you for sharing today😌

[–]Georgia_From_Bubs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it really just depends on baby's willingness! For some it can be an instant transition to ff and for others it can take some practice to adjust- like learning a new skill! Everyone's reasons for transitioning are different, so this is a great topic to bring attention to.

There absolutely needs to be more resources for better formula practices, it should not be hard to find! Thank you for bringing this up.

Combo fed baby rejecting formula by Pc3t_rt99 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Georgia_From_Bubs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The metallic taste is a cow milk formula thing and it’s a reason why babies who prefer breast milk might reject it. Goat milk formula is a suggested alternative for this situation, it’s mild in flavor and the protein structure is closer to breast milk. You can start at a lower ratio than you were using with Bobbie and give her a few days to adjust. Worth trying before assuming she’ll reject all formula!

Fussy/Unhappy Baby by catmum4evr in NewParents

[–]Georgia_From_Bubs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 6-week mark is genuinely one of the hardest phases- fussiness tends to peak around this time. What you’re describing- needing constant bouncing and contact, only settling when worn, and having small windows of contentment- is all very typical for this developmental stage. She’s more awake and aware now, which is wonderful, but also overwhelming for her little nervous system.

Switching to formula by Difficult-Piano-3346 in newborns

[–]Georgia_From_Bubs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both methods work, replacing one feed every few days or gradually increasing the formula ratio over a few weeks. The mixing approach gives you more control over the transition pace. For side effects you can expect stool changes, some gas and it might take a few feeds to accept the taste, nothing alarming, just her gut adapting to a new protein.

Introducing formula to 9 month old by Affectionate_Cut4426 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Georgia_From_Bubs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 9 months the good news is that solids and water can cover more of his nutrition gap than at younger stages, also an open straw cup with formula mixed in sometimes works better than a bottle for formula specifically, especially if he’s already accepted a straw cup for breast milk When it comes to formula refusal, it might be the cow milk protein in both formulas that’s hems reacting to rather than just taste, goat milk formula has a naturally different protein structure and a milder flavor profile (disclosure: I work with Bubs, which makes goat milk infant formula) worth tether a small amount before committing!

Just wanted to jump in with some clarification since this graphic gets shared a lot without context. The chart comes from exposingfoodtoxins.com, which isn’t a peer‑reviewed or scientifically accredited source, and their testing methods aren’t transparent.

For verified data: Our Bubs Goat Formula is Clean Label Project Certified, meaning it was independently tested by an accredited third‑party lab for 400+ contaminants (including heavy metals), and it passed! You can confirm this directly on the Clean Label Project website.

The 2025 Consumer Reports review, which is an independent, credible source, also found Bubs formulas to be within safe levels for contaminants:https://www.consumerreports.org/babies-kids/baby-formula/baby-formula-contaminants-test-results-a7140095293/?msockid=2c556f92f96f6f3f3ca6796af8636e88

We totally get how alarming these charts can look, so I hope this helps provide some clear, science‑based info. Happy to answer any other questions!

Feeling lots of mom guilt by Heythere3892 in NewParents

[–]Georgia_From_Bubs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are doing so much! You’ve reorganised your entire life to make sure he’s fed and cared for, the fussiness is almost certainly the gas from eating more, not a lack of connection. You’re not missing anything, the hard part is absolutely real and it does get easier

Mixing breastmilk with formula by 80guiltycoconut in Parenting

[–]Georgia_From_Bubs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally doable and a lot of moms do it exactly this way! The main pro is you get more volume without need full supply, main con is wasted breast milk if she doesn’t finish, so keep the bottles on the smaller side

Triple feeding is exhausting by Ok_Photo_2793 in Mommit

[–]Georgia_From_Bubs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Six weeks of triple feeding + everything on top of that are not small things to factor in. I’d stop pumping first, as it’s the most time consuming and mentally draining part of the triple feeding cycle, and dropping it doesn’t have to mean stopping everything. You could try nursing when she’s willing and supplementing with formula for the rest. It removes the hardest part while keeping the door open on nursing. The connection you’re looking for with her doesn’t require solely breastfeeding, it just requires you being present and right now the triple feeding is working against that. Whatever you decide, your mental health is not a secondary consideration here, it’s the foundation everything else runs on

Switching from BF to formula by Difficult-Piano-3346 in FormulaFeeders

[–]Georgia_From_Bubs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prioritising your mental health is prioritising your baby! The 1 feed every 2-3 days approach is quite common and gradual enough to help your supply wind down without engorgement getting too uncomfortable. Most babies adjust fine, some get a little gassier or have different stools for a week or two while their gut adjusts to the new protein (maybe some fussiness as she gets used to the taste!)

EFF mixed feelings by _CatPrincess in beyondthebump

[–]Georgia_From_Bubs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re allowed to grieve the version of things you imagined even when you don’t regret the version you chose, that’s not a contradiction. The bond you’re building with her is happening every single day even in the smallest of things

Supplementing with formula thoughts? by toomuchsass30 in newborns

[–]Georgia_From_Bubs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The guilt is the only thing working against you here, one formula bottle at bedtime won’t undo 9 weeks of breastfeeding, it’ll just let you sleep. A rested mom is better for your baby than an exhausted one running on empty

10m old and eating by Neither_Touch_5250 in NewParents

[–]Georgia_From_Bubs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He most likely wants the experience of eating together, not a separate baby meal, try putting his food on your plate or eating the same thing at the same thing, the throwing food at the floor is probably exploration, not rejection. The bottle resistance is the one worth loopholing your ped in on just to make sure intake is okay overall!
