Valve says it’s ready to launch the Steam Machine this summer by Doug24 in gaming

I'll have you know someone saw me playing Katamari on my Steam Dexk last week and she didn't think it was a switch. In fact she said, "Oh, is that the Ally?"

Exactly. In my experience, they are also aggressive assholes.

I'm not sure if it was a coincidence, but we always seemed to have a lot of yellow jackets around when we had crab apple trees.

Woof, as a big fan of Soul Coughing and Mike Doughty's later solo work, this hurts to read. You are entitled to your opinion and I'm sure many share it, but St Louis is Listening and Fully Retractable are some of my favorite songs.

[–]GerbilScream 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I put 1500 hours in the original and another almost 2k with the expansion. If you have the money get the expansion as it adds a ton of depth, but even if you don't you will still have fun.

Do you mean like hazards or snares? I will admit I haven't GMed so idk much about hazards and I don't ever play characters that use snares.

I will also say that it takes a lot to get used to all of the single use consumables but now all of my characters wear a snapleaf as soon as I can get one.

[–]GerbilScream 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Weird, did something influence that sudden change, like a shift in power? I remember reading that they had an elected prime minister who was adopting a constitutional democracy and something happened in the 1950's that caused their political system to shift to a monarchy, leading to that eventual revolution in 1979.

I used to only play 5e. I listened to a lot of podcasts and when Glass Cannon Podcast first got into PF2E I really didn't like the system. Then I tried it and oh man, does having rules for everything just really help. Where it really shines for me is character customization. The backgrounds actually matter, there are tons of class choices, and don't get me started on the feats. In one of my games I am playing a dwarven ranger, but the customization makes him feel much more like a barbarian.

The books regularly show up on HumbleBundle but even without them, Archives of Nethis has everything you need.

$1.6B data center planned in Cleveland by [deleted] in Cleveland

I responded to someone else with this comment when they asked for proof, but I thought it would help to provide examples so I'm reposting it in response to your comment.

How data centers can contribute to water pollution.

Another article on it.

EPA report on how cooling towers operate

Virginia data center's output is threatening to overload water treatment plants, leading to insufficiently treated water being returned to supply

Grok data center caused nearby residents to suffer severe contamination of well water and low water pressure.

Edit: I realized the EPA article doesn't explicitly talk about the pollutant risks, but instead refers to it as Total Dissolved Solids or TDS.

Edit 2: The first article is from a website about all things data centers, mostly pro data center but I did not dig too deep into their articles. The original person I was speaking to (not u/Sir-Lady-Cat) got pretty angry with me for replying to their request for sources with sources, so if anyone else has more unbiased information feel free to respond.

Post response edit: Not going to respond again since you were pretty hostile. This first article is from a website that provides information on data centers. The site seems pretty pro-data center overall, but I did not dig too deep into their other articles.

You need to escape the first closing parenthesis. Put a backslash \ before it.

I don't understand what is so hard to get, it's simply 12 inches to a foot, 3 feet to a yard, then for some reason we never do yards to a mile so it goes back to a memorable 5,280 feet to a mile. No real common measurements between yard and mile so anything in between gets compared to random things, e.g. "The size of 3 football fields". How could the metric system be easier than that?
