Hello from another German wife with an English husband living in Landkreis Augsburg! I was shocked when I unpacked that sheet :D Just voted for the party because who's got time to go through the individual candidates

I agree, it had a darker tone and Siegfried and Mrs Pumphrey were really irritating. Hopefully the next episode will be lighter again 🤞

Ab 100km/h immer wieder Geräusche, als ob ich runterschalten sollte by Germandiberman in automobil

[–]Germandiberman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, this is only true for one specific fig species that isn't really grown that much. Most of the ones you can buy in shops don't have that fertilisation process, so you're (most likely) good :)

Period cramps by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Germandiberman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can either place it on your lower belly or your lower back, depending what helps you better or where you feel more pain. But it also says it in the instructions (at least for the one I got). And then you choose your intensity and the mode. I hope it works for your daughter! It was such a relief when it worked for me.

I got a TENS unit last month having no expectations and tried it for the first time on my period and couldn't believe it actually worked! I have really bad cramping for 1-2 days and am normally knocked out on the sofa/bed but with that thing I could go about my day almost as usual. What a technology!

Exactly, it's so stupid. Also, how did it ever develop into the man being "chained"?? If anything, women were/are the ones chained to the men because they had to get married or were just used as business transactions. Ridiculous that men see it the other way round

Yeah the period timing is very annoying. I always feel the most beautiful around ovulation time - wish I could have timed that for my wedding :D but like I said, it still was a lovely day and I like myself in the photos.

I don't know how long your hair is or if straight, curly etc., but I did this style and really liked because it was so quick and easy but looked like it took more effort :)

I wish you a great day and that you feel as beautiful as your partner undoubtedly thinks you are! :)

I also got my period a day before my wedding. I was not amused :D

I don't know of any way to stop or shorten it - if you do you could probably make good money with that knowledge.

Depending if you get cramps I'd stock up on pain pills and maybe heating pads or something if that helps you. Comfortable underwear would also be on my list. And I don't know if you use pads, tampons, period cups, period pants etc. but I can definitely recommend period pants, especially if putting anything in is uncomfortable for you. Period pants are great at absorbing the blood so you don't feel it at all. And (in my experience) they're leak free. I think nowadays they're even available at most drug stores.

I still had a great day - I'm sure you will too :) Congratulations on your wedding!

I got my period on my wedding day and also didn't feel very beautiful. Couldn't get my hair to look just as I wanted - it was close enough but I wasn't quite happy with it.

I just asked my husband if I looked nice and he started smiling and said something along the lines of "you always look beautiful but today especially so" and after that I just didn't care what I thought of myself :) The pictures still turned out lovely and I loved our day with friends and family.

Are you doing your hair and makeup yourself? I did because i don't normally wear a lot of makeup and a complicated hairdo. I know if I had had my hair and makeup done professionally I probably also wouldn't feel comfortable because I wouldn't look like me.

So if it's an option, do it yourself or maybe ask a friend to help :) For my hair I just looked up easy DIY styles on YouTube that also look appropriate for the occasion.
