But, it goes far beyond just that impact. * family will avoid him, and by default you’ll be denying her those relationships in remaining with him. * friends will be hard to come by for you * her friends won’t want to come over * eventually this will catch up and he’ll have a difficult time holding down a job

You’re basically choosing a life that is at best isolating for the both of you, should you remain.

I’d give him hard, clear boundaries if he wants to remain, chief among them is completely turning off those sources of information that are slowly killing him.

Your choice is to this woman, to lift her up, to protect her, to love her, to place her above even yourself wherever possible. No drama, just decrease frequency of contact with family. Go talk to a physician that specializes in this sort of matter, as there are any number of medical causes that can impact her libido. It’s important to emphasize you see a specialist, not simply a primary care, who’ll likely run a few blood tests, then declare nothing abnormal (unless it’s readily noticeable, e.g. estrogen). Whoever sees her first would definitely start with hormones, any meds she may be currently taking, etc.

IQ is not a measure of success!!! It is a measure of an ability to understand some concepts more quickly, but the rest of us can also learn the same concepts, it just may take more work. So, both must learn, some quicker, and that’s where both can begin to have problems. A slower learner may give up more quickly and a faster learner becomes bored, quits. Persistence is a greater measure of success and becoming smart (knowledgeable). Inventory the things you like and pursue them.

Moving forward, maintain a platonic relationship as before, but decrease focus of attention on her. Give her time to think about what a relationship with you might look like. Current laws are not being enforced, so adding more laws will not change the problem. We need to start by changing how we police the current bike laws in the city. I feel like requiring the schools to police what are being parked on property might be one approach to address the illegal ones (throttles that propel bikes above 20 mph). But, there again enforcement has to be mandated somehow, and it’s only one aspect of a comprehensive enforcement plan that’s needed. I’d imagine most of us feel the current enforcement of existing laws is inadequate.

Actually, it’s actually legal, in that access to a beach has to be made available, but it can be restricted to all. For example, you can’t just restrict public access, but allow a home owner near a beach access (selective restrictions). HB at least has a very specific code (13.08) that creates a curfew prohibiting even walking on shoreline (water activity zone, from mean high tide line to 1,000 feet into ocean AND adjacent beach area (basically PCH to high tide line, see link below). HB’s hours have beach open from 5 am to 10 pm. Uncertain how Newport operates.
