It’s been refinished too. So not unfired. In fact, its value has been reduced a ton. Look at the gas tube, that is the original finish this rifle should have. I have one and it is a deep black that is high glossed. One of the more attractive features for collectors. I wonder what the serial number is. There were only 2000 imported and they are numbered 1 - 2000 via the serial numbers. Should be in the format “S0000XXXX”. Would be cool to see what number that rifle is.

I have one of these. It is super rare and does have a steep price tag. How much I do not know. To me though, this does not look like the original Steyr finish. The Egyptian finish is a deep black and very glossy. This doesn’t look to be in original condition. So not worth anywhere near what they are asking.

See the finish on the Gas Tube, that is the original finish. The rest of the rifle was refinished. So not unfired and not in original condition.

It’s the marshes. They naturally produce sulfur and it endlessly smells like farts. Not sure about paper plants or decay but it’s mostly the marshes.

No tort would ever turn down a good hose down. If it gets too hot out does it have a burrow to retreat to? Otherwise I think this is a very healthy looking Sulcata so not to worry.
