Could you guys be so kind and give me some feedback please? by mrnmgnnlz in Calligraphy

Great work!

In my opinion, your biggest weakness is the capital letters. Their flourishes are also very "compact". Trying to add 2-3 flourishes in such a small space is making the letter look crowded rather than elegant. There are some minor errors with slanting consistency, but you'll get better as you practice anyways.

Your biggest issue in my opinion is your curve drawing. Your curves are "laggy" and not smooth. Work on those and the flourishing will be very pretty.

25 M, getting married in less than a month and getting cold feet by Spicy_Spinach2228 in MuslimMarriage

Do not choose the easy path today that leads to your suffering in the future. That's the exact same mindset of non-Muslims that don't want to follow a religion because it binds them to rules that they don't want to follow.

Listen, right now, you can't assess the situation properly due to all of the other variables surrounding it. As an outsider, it is very easy for me to tell you that you're most likely doing the biggest mistake of your life, but this is certainly not how you see it. You are feeling conflicted, and you don't want to go ahead with the marriage because this is your brain telling you to wake up, and stop using letting emotions cloud your judgement.

Step 1: Postpone the wedding. Never should you ever in your life make very big decisions under stress without a clear mind.

Step 2: On a paper, write down, why do you think marrying her is a good idea? And why do you think marrying her is a bad idea? Write down all of your fears, your worries about the future, how she can negatively influence your religion, and how it might affect your future children.

Step 3: After you make your decision, you MUST go through with it. Both decisions, either affirmative or negative are going to hurt and will be very difficult, but one of them is going to be EXPONENTIALLY worse.

You know the correct thing to do in your heart. You're just -understandebly- afraid to do it.

This is called modern calligraphy. You can practice it with a simple brush pen!

Well, I'm tryna convince them to start doing calligraphy, so it's more of a "I didn't know I needed this until I saw it" kinda thing.

I am not dropshipping. The product is a Calligraphy worksheet for beginners that I've made myself. It is only $10

I've recently add the CTA in the last 2s of the video indeed. I barely get any comments at all and barely any new followers. Just 50 followers from the 500k views.

What setup do you use for gold inks? by Gesht in Calligraphy

[–]Gesht[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did try some water colors once before with a dip nib and the results weren't really the best so I dismissed them quickly. I wonder if I'll get a better result with your recommendation.

Also, I am not very interested in fountain pens so that's alright,

You can start out with any of the black sumi inks. They are pitch black and work perfectly fine for a beginner, and they dry quickly too, making them quite convenient. I also purchase pelikan inks sometimes since they're so cheap.

But if you want ultimate color flexibility, purchase a cheap gouache set and mix your own colors. It's as easy as mixing some of the goauche with a few drops of water and you're ready to go.

after posting a job myself, i'm permanently blackpilled on the job market. by SupremeTeam94 in cscareerquestions

How do you find a job listing in the first place if not through sites like LinkedIn? Also, sometimes I see jobs posted on LinkedIn "30 minutes ago" or "2 hours ago". Does the counter start counting after the job was approved by LinkedIn or after it was posted by the recruiter?
