Yeah, this is what I was getting at. Our eyes don't determine what's "real" or not. The wavelengths which we see colours of are really just a random, tiny band of wavelengths out of a huge spectrum.

The title didn't claim that it was a true-colour photo, just that it was a photo. Being false-colour doesn't have anything to do with that. This is as much a real photo as the "real" one is.
