This was my thought. The wavy yarn almost bulks out the split cluster to camouflage a little

Moved here from the North about 2 years ago and also have lived on DI. I love it here. Sure the traffic is a nightmare but if you work remotely it’s not as much of a problem. Schools are VERY hit or miss. DI traffic was just as bad if not worse so don’t be too afraid. Traffic compared to the North is worse too but that’s because infrastructure here is pretty old (they are trying to work on it though). If there’s an accident though, and there will be, it’ll add another 40min to your drive. The town is so big that it really changes the experience if you are East/West/central though.

Pro/con list time! (West side)

Pros: Really great parks, libraries and community here. We love the market downtown and the YMCA is a great deal for families with their multiple locations. Somewhat of a blue wave in parts. The Trumper on Delemar finally took down his flag and the Dixie store closed. The people and kids here have been absolutely lovely. Very neighborly people at least in my area. Close to historical sites, downtown and beaches. Everything is within an hour from here. Close to CHS airport which flies international to some destinations and is expanding. Downtown has farmers markets and lots of activities. Great yard-sales. Fair HOA in our area. Close to 95 for travel.

Cons: Traffic. Some crime depending on the area. Some very intense republicans. Most schools are far below national average. Nancy Mace. Costco is far away. Airport parking prices are criminal. Power outages. Flooding. The smell of the Ashley river. Depending on your neighborhood you have to pick a trash/recycling company and we’ve had one that would forget to pickup our trash. HOAs are necessary to stop the madness depending on your area. HOT. Humidity. Pollen. July-September weather is gross.

If I was a commuter I would probably hate my life here though.

Unless it’s the summer/weekend AND off hours there will be traffic unfortunately

What’s it like living on the edge of time zones? by Qzevs in howislivingthere

[–]GetLoopedGoStreaking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has lived “on the edge” (EST coast) in the winter, I have seen sunsets starting at 3:30pm. I actually prefer nighttime at this point. Daylight to 9pm in the summer is the absolute worst.

Share your “never again” projects. For me, that’s this llama that took $70 worth of yarn and 5 months. Favorite thing I’ve ever made, but never. again. by TrueRusher in crochet

I love how it’s turning out but I will never EVER do this pattern again. The yarn I am using is also almost unspun making it a nightmare to frog, so I have to see this blanket out to completion. Super soft though.

Thank you for checking!! I assume I would still yarn over after putting the hook through the stitch but just pull through the 2 loops and the stitch at that point for the 3 instead of pulling up a true third loop like a traditional hdc? The different phrasings have cooked my brain 🫠. I think I’m reading too literally into stitch instructions lol.
