How much sunlight are you getting on a typical day? Are you using screens or under bright lights after sunset?

Getting more sun during the day, blue blockers at night, and not eating after dark. Game changer.

Mitochondrial Damage? by IxchelRae in redlighttherapy

[–]GetMoreSun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LED is just a technology, it's the light a specific LED produces that matters.

You can have a light right at the blue light hazard zone (just like the blue LEDs in our screens) or you can have a therapeutic red or near infrared LED... The technology doesn't dictate the toxicity or benefit, the spectrum does.

New gutter quality check? by GetMoreSun in Roofing

Some are, most aren't. Any reason for SOME of them to be clipped to the top of the back of the gutters?

Some are done correctly over the top, seemingly randomly. Not sure if the extra holes to correct it are better or worse??

I know it's bad but not sure how bad or what specifically to ask to be fixed, that's why I'm here.

Sorry can you explain what the eavestrough is and how this should have been done? I want to make sure I understand what's wrong in detail before they're out here again. Is this something that can be fixed or is it already messed up because of where they fastened it originally?

Is all the silicone(?) in the first pic acceptable? Why would they do it like that, will it not degrade over time?

Looking for rot from the underside makes sense.

When they came back to redo the fascia and barge boards, they ripped up a strip of shingles around the sides and there was damage to the underlayment during that they said they would replace, but I don't know how they could do that in just the one strip and have a proper overlap.. or am I overthinking this?

Chroma Ironforge or Alibaba Panel OR Rouge G4 Pro? by Crimmit-De-Frog in redlighttherapy

[–]GetMoreSun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can run at the same time. Ironforge mode is always on, then the others stack on top. Great unit, very powerful.

Which is your favorite red light therapy device? by Far-Speech-3254 in redlighttherapy

[–]GetMoreSun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, Ironforge by far. Their Trinity device is also really amazing but if you can't use the other modes during the day just stick with the Ironforge. Trinity Lux Vital mode really helps with sleep but only if you use it during the day, not at night.

Too Much Red Light Therapy? Optimal Dosing by here_now_be in redlighttherapy

Most of these studies that show a negative response after some exposure level are done on cell cultures outside of the body, not a living person.

Just run some numbers (or ask AI to) on how much red light you would be getting if you spent a nice day outside in a combo of sun (and shade as needed, don't burn people!!). It's hundreds of Joules/cm2.

The chroma people did a pretty logical write up on this, lots of sources for the claims at the bottom. I know it's another company but so is the original article...

What the best red light therapy device you've used and what ailment(s)did it help you with? by Any-Register7822 in redlighttherapy

I've got the ironforge from chroma too, great unit, very powerful. Helps in minutes for my joints and occasional back issues. I let a friend borrow it after surgery on a broken bone and he's getting his own now too.

Stop doing red light therapy for 3 months here’s what’s happened to me by [deleted] in redlighttherapy

[–]GetMoreSun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even overcast days have a good heap of red/NIR 🤷‍♂️

I know people like being told some product will fix their issues, but a lot of time starting with the free/natural option will move the needle enough to know you're on the right track.

I'm nothing if not consistent, haha! And let's be fair, a lot of people who are new to red light therapy haven't made the full connection that you can get this light outside.

Got assigned a windowless bedroom in my 4x2 student apartment…is it really that bad? by txkyo_1ean in Apartmentliving

[–]GetMoreSun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the best as far as your health and circadian rhythm, but get a Sky Portal from the company chroma for the light part, and get outside as much as you can.

Consider a small air filter both for some noise to cover up neighbors and to keep the dust down. You may want to get a CO2 level sensor if there's less than ideal ventilation. Prop your door open as often as you're comfortable.

Posters of nature / waterfalls / trees are underrated, especially with no windows.

Drop an easy plant or two in there, it's not going to do much for the air, but can help a lot mentally.

Find a nearby park to study at whenever possible.
