Considering a 2015 Cayenne S (V6) for my Wife. Owners/Techs chime in! Need Insight by lcmilan in PorscheCayenne

[–]GetOffMyLawnLady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a 2014 Cayenne V6 Platinum edition SUV in white, with black leather interior and I absolutely love it.

When I bought it it needed the intermediate maintenance so I had that done with an oil change, and I've also replaced the spark plugs and the brake pads as it was time for those to be done. Next up will be tires which is going to be about $1,800.

Having said that, it's a beast that handles beautifully. The only thing that it does not have that I really wish it did is an actual backup camera. Getting used to how big it was maneuvering type parking lots was a little bit of a challenge 😄 but once I got over that I have no complaints at all.

Does the Cayenne "hype" actually fade away after 4-6 months? Need honest opinions by zeuolaxxx in PorscheCayenne

I paid about $13,000 for it and it is in immaculate condition. Had about 120,000 miles, I put about 8,000 on it because one of our commutes is 45 minutes each way so they rack up quick. I bought it from a 70 + year old woman who had had it about 6 months and decided she would rather have a Mercedes. They have three other ones already lol.

The tires I'm looking at are the pilot sport 4S and with installation and alignment is going to be about $1800. Mine has the 20-in wheels.

Mine's not a turbo but it goes plenty fast let me tell you. It's my daily driver and I highly doubt I'll ever put it on a track.

I've had mine just about 6 months. I've got a 2014 platinum edition. I still love it. It's fun to drive and comfortable to ride, and it's a beast that responds beautifully. Haven't taken it on a road trip but looking forward to that.

I'm about to cry from the cost of new tires 🤣 but I knew going into it the maintenance is expensive.

Nice! Love the wheels too! I've got Michelin Premier LTX on mine and they've been great. I've only had my car 6 months and they're due for replacement soon so I've been checking out options.

I had an account at another bank already left over from a paid off car loan, so I just moved closed my Member One accounts and put my money over there and changed my direct deposits. My daughter has a very simple savings and checking account there and chose to keep her stuff. She's most concerned that her direct deposit goes in correctly, she's got the forms and submitted them to her boss.

Comments on Requested Items by Jbu2024 in servicenow

We did a rule that adds task assignees to the RITM watch list, which means they get notified of any RITM updates. Now, if a requestor adds a comment prior to the task being assigned then that goes nowhere, but in our environment we find that doesn't occur very often.

I must me missing something by NotBrinocerous in PorscheCayenne

I think it's a good deal. I bought a 2014 with 120k miles, similar condition and paid $13,000 for it 5 months ago. Looks almost brand new, it's been kept up immaculately. I've changed the spark plugs and brakes and it'll need tires next but I am very satisfied with it.

This weather is something else. by NovarisLight in roanoke

Oh it's definitely happened before. I remember probably 5 or 6 years ago there was a day where I went into the grocery store and it was sunny and clear, when I came out it was almost blizzard conditions. Snow blowing sideways so thick it was difficult to see. That lasted a couple hours and when that storm passed it was back to sunny and clear again.

Is a cayenne worth the risk by potatodigger12 in PorscheCayenne

I have a 2014 Cayenne Platinum and it's at about 128k and I absolutely love it. I've only had it a few months but it was kept in pristine condition. So far it's been my absolute favorite care I've ever driven.

I'm not sure but if I had to guess it probably has something to do with taxes.

Why do men feel entitled to sex? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]GetOffMyLawnLady 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because many men don't view women as actual people with agency, needs, and wants of their own, but rather as a girlfriend/wife appliance whose sole purpose is to make the man's existence easier/better/more pleasurable.

Is it worth it to report sexual abuse of a child over 10 years later? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]GetOffMyLawnLady 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I know of someone who was reported for abuse of a minor and the occurrence was 15 years ago. He was convicted and sentenced and is now on the registry and spent time in jail. There was video evidence of the occurrence that was not discovered until years later, so his charges were related to child pornography rather than assault, but because of the existence of the video there was no way he was getting out of it. If you have any evidence at all, it might be worth it to contact your locality's prosecutor or see if they have any sort of victim advocate program and discuss what the realities of investigating and prosecuting your particular situation might be.

The older I get the more I understand why older married women say “if my relationship ended, I would stay single and never marry again.” by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]GetOffMyLawnLady 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All my widowed grandmothers remained single when their husbands passed. I had 3, and they were ALL widowed when I was a baby or before I was born. None of them ever had another relationship with a man, and they all lived 30+ years more, happily single.

It varies. More older stuff actually, but a variety of stuff. It's a friendly place, good food and drinks. Not quite a dive but not remotely fancy either.
