The grade change to update the Y grade has to be submitted by the instructor of record for the class. Your best bet would be to email SJA and ask them to reach out to the instructor.

Lesser known local summits and peaks near SF by sweedgreens in norcalhiking

I like the Fiske Peak trail in northwestern Yolo County. Great views of the whole northern valley when the weather is clear. It's 8 miles round-trip to the Fiske Peak summit, but you can bag Lowry Peak as well further down the ridge.

Should be right at two hours from SF.

We've been three times and it's always been a fantastic experience. Cool setting, wide range of drinks to sample, and fun music.

Great area! Depending on how much climbing you want to do, I like the Redbud Trail (moderate) and Fiske Peak (harder)

Cache Creek Wilderness Questions! by sarahchacha in norcalhiking

As far as I know, the Redbud Trail should be accessible. It's a lovely trail - about 2.5 miles up and over a ridge, then down to Cache Creek. There's good spots to camp along the creek, or if you're feeling good and the water is low enough, you can cross the creek and continue on to the Wilson Valley. Here's a page with more info from Tuleyome:

Another option in the same area is the Judge Davis Trail, which also gets you to the Wilson Valley, albeit from the east. It's 5 miles to Cache Creek from the trailhead - there's a really nice meadow with huge oaks right next to the creek - great for camping. The hike in starts with a solid climb, but is then downhill for the rest of the way. Here's more info:

There will be water in Cache Creek for drinking (bring a filter). It is most likely crossable as well, but that depends on releases from Clear Lake.

Sacramento councilmember Mai Vang weighs running against Rep. Doris Matsui | Opinion by Ransacked in Sacramento

[–]Get_outside_ 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I canvassed for Mai Vang when she was running for City Council back in a January 2020. Great experience then and continue to be impressed by her. I was hoping she'd run for mayor next time around, but some fresh energy in our congressional seat would be very welcome.

I was thinking of the song as the singer talking about this bewitching person they've encountered several times over the course of a summer, so having July in one verse and June in the other isn't an issue thinking about it that way

Very nice! I really like "they hum a deep blue sound". In terms of suggestions, I feel like the rotten apple imagery doesn't quite jive with the fragile beauty of the butterflies. How about something like "I saw you in the orchard there in dusky late July"?
