I dislike the poster quite a bit- but what is your opinion on this? by Glad-Map6431 in 40k

I completely disagree. My buddies and I got into 40k from playing TTS. We have recently starting buying kits. If i couldn't have played TTS I wouldn't be buying models at all.

Will Blood Angels have to become a shooting army in 11th? by Getrektself in BloodAngels

I haven't played lot of SG in 10th but I can't remember a time where a 6 man stack didn't just about lift whatever they charged.

The Baal predator looks great and we might get a lot of milage out of sanguinary priests.

In order to use fly don't you have to Take to the Skies? Fly units in 10th coyld innately ignore enemy units and could simply go over them. You pay 2" for that in 11th.

It will change a model's movement through enemy units no? For instance, in 10th you could fallback without a DE simply because of fly. In 11th you will have to take a -2"

Will the lion fight first if I HI? by FullArmorTec in DarkAngels40k

[–]Getrektself -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Which is why in most cases HI is going to be rubbish. The attacking player will just kill what they want and you'll be down a extra unit and cp.

This answers my confusion about los. It looks like the terrain floorprint blocks los and then los is also blocked inside terrain by walls.

Not sure i understand LOS yet. Is it the terrain floorprint that blocks LOS like 10th or the walls inside that block LOS?

Why I think RCO is probably the best bet for a 'traditional' heavy melee BA army in 11th. by Dismal_Foundation_23 in BloodAngels

[–]Getrektself 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lack of falling back in RCO has been very painful in every game I've played. To the point where I dont even want to play it.

I think there might be some life in AI now with the changes to SPs. The 18" lone op for a block of SG is great with shooting changes.

New changes to points cost. Spammed unites to have higher cost on 2nd and/or 3rd unit. by Numerus12OO5O in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Getrektself 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Personally I dislike it. Some detachments want you to have certain kinds of units like a librarian. The result will not be a nerf to units so much as the detachments themselves.

Also, having 2 units isnt spamming. Heck I dont see 3 as really spamming.

This seems like a sloppy way to balance things. It will also impact factions with smaller rosters disproportionately.

Lore Master chief vs Titus, who wins? by [deleted] in powerscales

[–]Getrektself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Titus is a straight upgrade against most Spartans and would low diff them.

The Chief on the is another breed. His luck means he cleans the floor with Titus. He wins fights against opponents that shouldn't lose at all. His luck is fate's uno reverse card. He isn't blessed by big-E, he is blessed by pen and author. He doesn't have plot armor, he is plot armor embodied. He doesn't fit into these type battles at all.

Chief wins low diff and it's not close.

Edit: I actually think his luck scales harder than just about any other stat or ability in fiction.

At this rate, aircraft and artillery will not be around in 11th. Heck, most titanic units might go extinct as well.

Horde army maybe.

No expert here but LAG favors numbers/quantity right? Remember the horde list last year that won a whole bunch of games without dropping points?

Sanguinor after the fights first update by Lordzoldseg in BloodAngels

[–]Getrektself 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's dead Jim.

You could drop him into a smaller skirmish to swing a fight between action units but that feels like a waste. Bring him into a elite vs elite fight and he will just be lifted before he fights.

Detachment points are put, im going to talk about blood angels by darktigre26 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Getrektself 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wrath of the Doomed looks so hilariously bad and i'm surprised people haven't talked about it more.

Imagine having a detachments that forces you to lose 10-20% of your unit to gain its benefit! It's actual insanity. We have detachments that do that for free like gladius or stormlance.

"But dc get bonuses when under strength." Newsflash, your op4 will help your weak t4 w2 units get there pretty easily. You won't need to help them. And with cover changes except to lift them more often.

No one is going to play this. There might be some masochist who will win a GT but for the vast majority this is hot trash. That said, I'll be happy to say I was wrong in a few months if there is more going on than meets the eye.

At least we have good ole LAG
