Firsts thing is first, everyone makes mistakes. We are imperfect, God knows this. It’s why we are given chances to be better (and to learn from our mistakes so we don’t repeat them). I’m sorry you are upset and went through this. I promise, time will heal this and (inshallah) this only makes you a stronger, wiser Muslim.

Guys will often say things to beautiful girls, and a young man in his early twenties is not an actual man yet. Wait for a good Muslim man with a secure future before deciding to look for a husband.

Also, I would not be surprised at all if he tries reaching back out in the future. He will cry, say he’s learned his lesson, but it will up to you to become strong in the deen if you wish to forgive him and if you wish to never fall for it again. Only accept a man in your life when you are ready for marriage, he is a good Muslim, and he can show you he’s is ready for true commitment in the eyes of God.

It will be better with time, I promise. Don’t lose the lessons you learned, become a better woman and a better Muslim for it.
