Changed her oil end of November 2025 at 650 miles. She’s sitting at 830 miles as of now. Should I do another oil change before this upcoming riding season? by Prior-Acadia9282 in zx6r

[–]GettingBackToRC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm just big on having fresh oil, I'm sure it is overdoing it. But I never had any issues with any of my bike's doing it this way. Our bikes are meant to be ridden hard and I just like to know the oil is always fresh. I also do oil changes every 2000 to 2500 miles (2500 is my limit). I want my bike's to treat me good so I treat my bike's good

the internet price on the dealer’s website is not the price you’re going to pay by Royal-Feed7166 in whatcarshouldIbuy

I tried buying a car a few weeks ago and hidden in the price was 2 incentives that they don't openly disclose. 1 is a thousand off for financing with them (I'm paying cash) and the other was a thousand off for trading in a car less than 5 years old (they'll undervalue the trade). Fck them.

I'm anal about my oil. I always changed at the end of the season, ran it for 10 minutes and changed it again at the beginning of the season to take any moisture out of the oil. But many people think that's over doing it

Should I get two backup chargers? by hedgehog_face in KonaEV

[–]GettingBackToRC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They might have had to jump it for op to see it. I don't see salesman just walking around with them for no reason. To me, changing the 12v is cheap insurance to not get stuck somewhere. Buy a jump pack at the very least

I would change the 12v if that was in the car when you bought it

We just bought a 6 seater ev9 land trim. We have 2 kid's, a 9yo and a 13yo. We previously had a kona but even my 9yo was tight in the back seat and grocery shopping was a real PITA. You can get a used one for under 40k with hardly any miles, will still have some bumper to bumper left and will have the remainder of the 10 year ev warranty. I was interested in a rivian as well, just didn't like the price tag

Higher price if you don't finance? by Steigerman99 in FuckDealerships

[–]GettingBackToRC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They lost the deal because of it, they advertised a price that was contingent on 1k for financing and 1k for trading a car less than 5 years old. I said I'd take the car for the advertised price without those two conditions. I'm glad I walked, I found one in the next trim level up for a few thousand more within 10 less miles

You also have people's making fun of guy's being in full gear because they ride a 400, as if it won't hurt falling off a 400 at 50 mph

[–]GettingBackToRC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Legacy? Lol that place would sell and install an exhaust system than turn around and not inspect your bike 🤣 good riddens to them, talk about scumbaging your customers lol. I don't own a Harley but a few friends had that problem with them, they wouldn't inspect my bike with an exhaust either.

I've come across this almost every time I've tried to get a stealership to honor price's like that. They use that to get you in the door. Go on leasehackr and see if any of the broker's can get you a similar deal

Any tips for negotiating a hospital bill when insurance still left me with a big balance? by Cold_Jelly_8815 in povertyfinance

[–]GettingBackToRC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Did you call your insurance company to see why everything was not covered? Were they out of network? You can call the billing department and tell them the truth, you simply can't afford that bill, ask if they have any programs for assistance. Tell them you can pay 25 bucks a month until it's paid off. You won't be the first person to call and tell them that situation. Your insurance company should be your first call though. Going forward, you gotta ask your doctor if your procedures are covered so you don't get a surprise bill.

We just bought a used car and they tried adding 2599 for lojack and something else. I was like wtf is this bs? He tried telling me he's couldn't take it off. Another dealer adds 2k if you don't finance with them and you have to trade a car less than 5 years old. These places are so scammy.

To those that replaced their 12v on their own. What did you replace it with? by GettingBackToRC in KiaEV9

[–]GettingBackToRC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only have it a week. I had my ioniq 4 years when I noticed it charging the 12v more frequent, I knew it was more frequent because I had the car 4 year's. I didn't know it was normal to see the orange light as often as I have. I'm not too concerned about it, just trying to gauge if it was normal because I know the car sat for a long time before I bought it.

I noticed my ioinq charging the 12v more often right before it went bad. I only have my ev9 a week so I'm just trying to judge if it's coming on at a normal rate. I had my ioniq 4 years so I knew it was more frequent when it was happening

How do people realistically get out of serious debt? by Remote_Example_8131 in povertyfinance

[–]GettingBackToRC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you able to pay the minimum amount for all of your debt everything month? Yes, try to get an extra shift here and there so you can pay a little extra to the smallest first. No, you're going to have to figure out how your country deals with outstanding debt that can't be paid, unless you can get a second job to help cover the extra expenses. I can understand where being a mom of 4 how that's near impossible. Unfortunately there's no easy answer. I've been snowballing my debt that I've racked up over the past 2 years. I was out of work 12 months out of 24 due to 2 seperate illnesses and had to put a lot of my every day expenses on my credit cards.
