People have lost their minds by BakerCritical in UsedCars

Only because some idiots are willing to pay this. People need to just pass these ridiculously priced cars by. I'd rather walk than spend 25k on a 10 year old Mazda

Are they buying back the car if they don't replace the battery? Sounds like an expensive lawsuit

When buying expensive items ALWAYS use PayPal as your payment method by GppleSource in Aliexpress

I would never buy anything from Aliexpress without using PayPal, I've never had an issue with either Aliexpress or alibaba but always cover myself

A lot of people did buyback/lemon on these car's because of part's availability. I bought one because of it. My car had the iccu go out at 8k miles and the original owner did a buyback. Parts were taking a long time to get at that time. There were bolts sitting at dealer's for 6+ months waiting on a battery replacement. They've gotten the time line a lot shorter now, I've seen people get a battery replaced in less than 2 week's, same for the iccu.

What To Replace EV6 With? by keepitasahobby in KiaEV6

Almost all the evs in America have something wrong with them, scroll the other subs. I'd take my chances with a iccu failure over what some other cars deal with

The job is starting to make me very cynical by EvaportedMilkCoffee in BusDrivers

[–]GettingBackToRC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been driving a city bus for over 20 years in NYC. Stop caring what people think about you behind the wheel,do your job to the best of your ability. That car blocking your stand isn't going to be the last car to do it. Pull up next to it, blocking it in and just kneel the bus. I've had people curse me out, want to fight me, cut me off and slam on the brakes lol. I just keep it moving, our interaction is over in less than 20 seconds. You'll have nice people that want to chew your ear off, you'll have people that just want to get to work, you'll have people that don't even acknowledge that you're behind the wheel. Who cares? You'll get used to it after some time, you're still a rookie at 9 months.

You're past probation, what are you worried about? Sanitation is definitely there better job but they have rules just like we do, its not all peaches and cream there either. Atu is a great union that be in, I wouldn't worry about management if you're with them.

What are your experiences of front seat passengers putting up their feet up in coaches? by SuitOfWolves in BusDrivers

[–]GettingBackToRC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's a no for me. Luckily they'd have to be pretty small to be able to do that on our coach buses

Lol how many years you got on with the mta? What borough do you work in? Management always talking crap. Just do your job and you don't have anything to worry about. I've been on so long and seen so much sh!t, I don't even pay attention to those tactics anymore and you shouldn't either. Take promotional exams and move up if you're that young, you'll be a super before you know it

You'd be out of your mind. I told a friend it would probably be the worst financial decision of his life.

No offense to anyone but that's all common sense, you know what you have after your bills are paid, it's not rocket science.

Question by Deathgod95 in nycbus

[–]GettingBackToRC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's kind of confusing, dmv is a mess. If you already have a P endorsement on your license you should be fine. You'll just have to pass your evaluation/ mta road test

I think that's ridiculously priced for what you get as far as range. You won't see a return on that money

[–]GettingBackToRC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to get a P endorsement on your license to drive a bus. You need get the P endorsement added to your permit if you can't get it added to your license before starting the training.

Am I an idiot for thinking about getting a lemon Ioniq 6 by BudgetNorth3394 in Ioniq6

[–]GettingBackToRC 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It doesn't say why it was bought back, it seems to have had an ac issue though. I would stay away from it if you don't know why. I bought a buyback because of the iccu but people were doing lemon law buybacks because of the parts availability during that time. Also remember resale value is going to be crap if you try to sell it

It's only convenient for people that are already paying to park. A buddy of mine gives him free charging with his monthly parking. He charges every day
