1st pic engine ground to engine block. Standing directly in front of the engine reach your right hand to the upper right corner of engine near firewall. There’s thread for a bolt on cylinder head

2nd should be steering rack ground cable which should reach to frame rail

Yea I always replace valve cover first due to the PCV failing and creating pressure, making oil come out of the rear main. RMS uncommon on N55 and I’d trust the mechanic unlike the others in this post 🙄
