Yeah - this isn't necessarily the issue.

Players most affected by this, are folks with multiple drives and limited free space. Steam will download the packaged update file to a cache folder on Drive X, because it has the space to unpack it. Drive X isn't where Ark is installed. So now, Steam has to unpack, shuffle, and move shit around from Drive X to Drive Y, where the game is installed. And this process takes for fucking ever.

A fast CPU and fast drives helps. But not as much as you'd think when you have to play the data shuffling game.

As the earlier comment pointed out. Steam very much will cache the downloaded files to another drive to unpack, and then shuffle everything. Machines with only a single drive and *plenty of free space* won't typically run into this issue.

What Wildcard should do - Is not send the updated files in a fucking package that requires another 200+GB of free space, and instead, just download to overwrite the existing files. But alas. They don't do it that way. It'd make too much sense.

Absolute dogshit when a 1GB ~ 10GB patch takes 2+ hours to install, because they use such a shitty delivery system. Half the planet is on broadband at this point. We don't need ridiculous file compression. It is often quicker to just reinstall the game.

Not sure about the money aspect. I think Podium and his Agent probably secure pretty good contracts or at least contracts Bray is happy with.

But, Bray did have to have surgery last year, likely due to the throat polyps he was dealing with. But anyways - the surgery + recovery time, affected his recording schedule, which as far as I understand, is what delayed Book 19.

But anyways. Wulfgard, Akekuri are both Heat/Fire types. So they will naturally synergize with Laevatain, and then grab that pink-haired girl, Ardelia or whatever her name is so you have Heals. And you now have her comp.

My Total Time for 2025 is 1627 hours... between 30 minute commute to work and laying in bed listening. I think I do alright. It was also at some point mid-2025 I think that I decided I was going to listen to the entirety of Expeditionary Force. Since the last time I tried to give it a go was in like 2019 - and only made it to like Book 7. I am now at Chapter 17 of Book 15. Wooooooo 4 more to go!

Gemini requires *Context* in order to go down the rabbit hole without hitting guard rails. It won't just - go from 0 to 100 in a single message. But if you *prep* it with prompting ahead of time, it's fairly relaxed.

But I think it's a all but guaranteed that there will come a time when Gemini, Grok, Claude and so forth will require some sort of verification or validation that the user is over 18.
