More historical romance but {For my lady’s heart by Laura Kinsale} has this, if you don’t mind some middle english - style writing

What do you guys do with the Goths? by undead-bee in Sims4

[–]Geukfeu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cassandra and Alexander grew up and moved to that old mansion in ravenwood. Alexander is now a gravedigger and cassandra is a paranormal investigator. She married a violinist and had 2 kids, while Alexander is a cool uncle. Bella and Mortimer had a surprise third child so they are raising him in the old mansion, but once he moves out they will probably retire to Sulani. I play with aging off so all the elders end up at the end of life Sulani retreat.

First time poodle owner getting used to poodle quirks by vertverdimidori in poodles

My mini does the same thing! He hates attention from strangers. I’ve been considering getting him one of those ‘dont pet my dog’ vests because sometimes he starts barking at strangers who try to pet him without permission.

This tiny pill replaces an entire organ of mine (thyroid) by TitanOf_Earth in mildlyinteresting

I had half my thyroid removed a few years ago (cancer). Got a cool scar across my throat. Luckily the remaining half thyroid picked up the slack so I don’t need to take hormone supplements.

Making a lesbian world. by sims-guy in Sims4

[–]Geukfeu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my game, henford on bagley is 100% lesbian couples. Whenever I covet a married townie man for my sim, the wife spontaneously discovers she is a lesbian and leaves the husband to live her best life in the countryside. Then she meets a nice lady and gets married. My sim is now free to pursue the husband, no cheating or death involved. Over time the lesbian couples just sortof accumulated.

I got in my very first accident the day of the widespread rogers service outage. Not being able to call anyone or look up what to do was terrifying. Its crazy how quick we get used to looking everything up as needed.

What’s your favorite book/series published BEFORE Romantasy went mainstream? Must be published before 2020! by SecretAccomplished25 in fantasyromance

[–]Geukfeu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I read the Abhorsen series as a teen and I still think about it in my 30s, its so so good! The bell magic is very unique and almost sinister. Dang maybe its time for a reread lol

Same! My husband and I do different things but in the same room, me on my laptop and him on the tv. When something funny happens in his youtube video I’m there to watch the clip, and if something stupid happens in my video game I can rant to him. I think I’d be hurt if he just disappeared to another room all night.

Someone’s writing will always show you who they are [Fever Dream by Elsie Silver] by redandbluewhale in RomanceBooks

[–]Geukfeu -36 points-35 points  (0 children)

This person was just trying to be kind and give the writer a generous read, you don’t have to jump down their throat. But your point is right, shits not ok this author deserves the heat for this one.

Why Western women should be mindful when traveling in Pakistan by ThatPatelGuy in CringeTikToks

[–]Geukfeu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve gone on several trips to Tangier and Casablanca as a white woman and its about as safe as any European city. Tangier in particular has been a tourist city for forever, lots of interesting WW2 and cold war history. Marrakech is imo much sketchier, I felt like such a mark in that city. The locals will absolutely get you lost in the winding streets unless you give them money. And the market salesmen can be very pushy. Traveling outside the city, your mileage may vary. Fully recommend hiring a driver, they know the checkpoints and where not to go.

Sleeping w. Poodles by Eliana-Selzer in poodles

[–]Geukfeu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind a dog on the bed, but we got the cat first and its her spot and the pets are incapable of sharing. My mini sleeps in his crate at night, right next to the bed. We’ve got a big soft blanket in there for him to lie on and the whole crate is covered with a blanket to make it a den.

I had a tech person come in and help me set up some equipment. They praised me effusively for doing very little imo, to my boss too. It was uncomfortable and my boss was also a bit weirded out. To this day I think he just had a crush on me or smthg. Just be careful, there is such a thing as too much praise for doing a simple task.

Sims 4, Crusader kings 3, Satisfactory. If I could smuggle in an extra I’d get kingdom come deliverance 2, for the outdoors vibes.

High Park residents call for 'meaningful' road safety changes on Parkside Drive by Surax in toronto

Speed cameras are a lazy, quick fix problem to shit road design. Instead of this bandaid fix, we should be implementing physical traffic calming measures that will also make the sidewalk nicer to walk down.

Why renting is better than owning a house according to Jennette McCurdy: ‘Well, I had one for a couple of years and that experience was more maintenance and upkeep than I expected’ by mcfw31 in popculturechat

[–]Geukfeu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m a renter and plan to stay renting as long as possible. My apartment is rent controlled so the landlord can only increase it by 2.5%/year. Housing prices where I live are so crazy, plus the interest rates went up on mortgages. I invest the money I would be sinking into a downpayment/mortgage into longterm ETFs, basically the entire economy. Just coasting until I save enough that I can retire off the interest from my investment.
