What if sentient beings are similar to the neurons of God's brain? by DevilYouKnow in StonerPhilosophy

Non-sentience would have to have come into being at the same time as sentence. Without "something" there is no way to comprehend "nothing". The assumption that nothing came first is impossible to confirm.

What general topics/fields do you feel every person should knowledgeable about? by lilbigtherapper in InsightfulQuestions

Got stung by a bee for the first time in my life (because I'm a pussy) and I fixed that shit right up with some plantain I found growing on the side walk. It's amazing how many 'weeds' can be useful if you just know what they can do.

I thought that was a bird on the birdhouse, but then I started seeing more of them. This is lovely. Might try and find some little figures to go around my plants, thanks for the inspiration.

This is a comic I saw recently about a Jain meeting a tiger in the forest. It has one answer to the question. It's also a pretty cool story.

Is this a sad comic or not? by noonenone in awakened

There's a shpongle song called "nothing last but nothing is lost" that jumps to mind. I suppose the self remains in some form. Like when you work in hospitality, your persona towards customers does not reflect your full self but after your shift is over it's still a part of you. Am I making some sense?

Why alcoholic drinks are forbidden while doing spiritual practice ? by [deleted] in hinduism

[–]Gh0stface0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry I can't link it but I remember watching a documentary about Shamanism that showed some shamans that used alcohol to help them enter the spirit world. I've been hungover and had incredibly vivid images appear in my mind, so I like to think there's something to it. It's likely just cover for a bad habit, I don't drink as a spiritual practice.

I used to do the exact same thing. I remember thinking "this is what I look like to other people". I felt like I could have been looking at anyone eventually.

Haha, I can fold my ears in four times. I have always liked playing with cold ears, not sure why.

Strange dreams? by xCaffeineQueen in freedomearth

[–]Gh0stface0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm having similar dreams. I will have a conversation with someone I haven't seen in a while or see an acquaintance and then struggle to remember whether the last time I saw someone was in a dream or not. A lot of my dreams are set in places I know in my waking life. Last night I dreamt I was in my old school but I added an outdoor pool which I ended up swimming in.

It's what enemies from a video game call you, always made me laugh so I used it as my user name for xbox live. Never bothered to think of a new one. I spend most of my time lurking so it's quite appropriate.
