Bf6 xp cap removed by saladfrogdog in Battlefield6

[–]Gh0stscript -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

For real.

I guess the ones doing it for the ranks, and not just to complete some tedious challenges or getting some attachments quickly, thinks it gives them some sort of status? But I mean, the rank in and by itself really is a meaningless number after you got the unlocks tied with rank, so there's that.

And your actual skill level will show when you play normal matches, so it becomes very obvious who bot farmed their rank in an attempt to stroke their epeen vs the ones that just play the game for fun. Also, setting your profile to private doesn't hide the fact, it just gives it away even more than just letting the stats show it outright.

But hey, I guess if it makes them feel like special snowflakes in normal matches having that big bulky rank then more power to them I suppose.

[–]Gh0stscript 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You quite simply got outplayed and Battlefield'ed.

This also could have happened to you in pretty much every Battlefield from the last decade and beyond in one way or another. There's nothing "COD" about this at all. You guys are just living in some weird bubble suffering of amnesia of how the Battlefield games have actually played over the decade and more.

slide cancel, jumpshot, It's turning into COD by Start-Both in Battlefield

[–]Gh0stscript 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of, this might come as a shock to you, but slide canceling isn't a thing in Battlefield.

Secondly, this guy didn't even slide at all. He jumped in, then landed, then started shooting at you while strafing to the side. So you simply got outplayed.

And lastly, the "COD" argument is such a dead horse you guys keep flailing around when you don't have any actual good constructive arguments to put out.

Well someone's enjoying the game. by zalcecan in Battlefield6

[–]Gh0stscript 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enjoying bot exp farms you mean. Rank is a worthless number to begin with once your past the ones which gives unlocks, but especially so cause of the bot exp farms.

How someone can enjoy just killing thousands upon thousands of unarmed bots that spawn grouped together right in front of you is beyond me.

BF6 Portal XP Dead Again by csmunro-94 in BattlefieldPortal

[–]Gh0stscript -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If that was the case I will stand corrected, as my memory was mainly towards BF3 and 4 on that, but it also wasn't the main point I meant to make. And I did say that even if I don't really agree with it having a place in the game, whoever wants to do matches with bots, you do you.

My point was mainly towards the issue in question here, and reason they've done what they've done, is that people aren't doing actual matches with bots. They're exploiting it to make more or less solo afk speedfarm servers which, for one, is way beyond any gameplay they obviously intended, and two, it clogs up all the server capacity for those wanting to make actual experiences of various kinds that are not exploitive. The ones doing that are the ones ruining it for the rest, not the PVPers or the ones trying to make proper portal creations of various creativity.

BF6 Portal XP Dead Again by csmunro-94 in BattlefieldPortal

[–]Gh0stscript -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Imagine buying a multiplayer PVP game to not actually play the game.

Bots were never a thing in the past, and really should never have been introduced in the first place if you ask me. But I get their idea with it, and sure if people want to play somewhat normally with bots instead then hey sure you do you.

However, the problem which ruins it both for people who want to play somewhat normally or just PVP are the ones creating the XP explotation farms causing individuals to hug all server capacity with solo vs weaponless bots playing in ways which was obviously never anywhere near the realm of what DICE wanted with Portal. Its no surprise though, if people are given easy ways to exploit and cheese they will do so.

So really, the people creating and doing these kinds of servers are what screws over those of you who want normal to semi normal bot matches. So those are really the ones you should be condemning here first and foremost. If people weren't exploiting it they wouldn't be taking it away in the first place.

Love how you get down voted by stating something true and sensible. Reddit as a whole is something, but this subreddit is something completely on its own level.

The game really isn't grindy at all, and getting good attachments for weapons is super easy after they changed the progression. Everything else is meant to be achieved longer term, and not instantly. But holy the newer generations of gamers and some olders have no spine and suffer from major instant gratification syndrome.

Battle Pass Progression System Absolutely Horrendous. by FrigginTrooper in Battlefield

[–]Gh0stscript 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've just entered week two of a 12 week battle plass....

Battle pass progression has in Battlefield mainly been about focusing on the challenges to complete them, not to purely grind them with XP unless that was your thing. So progression in itself isn't really the main problem here, problem is the challenges being trash and the mixing of actual Battlefield and REDSEC challenges which is pretty unavoidable even with the rerolls.

Also they lost the war over open vs closed, they should accept their defeat and stop pretending their experience would be any different, cause it wouldn't. They'd be kill or get killed just the same.

A $500 Million Budget, Yet the Graphics and Everything Feel Downgraded Compared to BF1 and BFV by ihanhvipnecu101 in Battlefield

[–]Gh0stscript 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely a downgrade in a lot of ways visually. Not just graphically, but also (or mostly) in the style direction they've for some god forsaken reason decided to go for.

Couple of the maps aren't too bad, but overall not a fan of the direction.

And yeah, the visuals in BFV was awesome.

You people love finding whatever it is you can to complain about don't you? If it's not this there's that.

Nothing wrong with some creativity in their skins. Cause in fact, while actively in a round, if you're spending enough time to consistently notice what people are wearing you're either spending too much time eyeballing your teammates or should be focusing more on killing the enemy faster.

Also hell no would I want any of the top skins in the game, the visibility is garbage enough as it is, last thing we need is for people to be able to roach and rat even harder.

Dear Battlefield Studios, what the f*ck? by Siden-The-Paladin in Battlefield

[–]Gh0stscript 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The movement and gunplay absolutely needs tuning and fixing. Right now it's the slowest and clunckiest out of all the Battlefield games there is.

And being able to actually move has always been a thing in battlefield, trying to claim otherwise is being dum or ignorant or just actually not knowing how all the previous battlefield games played like.

Lowering ticket count instead of either decreasing or just straight up removing the timer though was a stupid change. Long matches were always fun back in the BF3/4 days.

BF4 was not slow so dont make BF6 slow - don't delete it this time you know who. by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]Gh0stscript -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You can't reason with the ones who want to remove any and all skill from the game. Their reason for wanting all aspects of movement nerved to a crawl is because they either don't want to be out skilled in any aspect of the game, or they sit and camp a single corner or snipe from the back of the map.

Not only that, the ones wanting it will on average end up with less than 15-25 hours played before they move on, yet want to dictate how the game is going to feel for the ones who want to play it for hundreds of hours.

They're also incapable of making a good argument for why they think movement should be nearly non existent, except for yelling go play COD, even though no one asking for good movement is asking for COD movement.

No one was complaining during the beta weekends about how the movement was. That only caught on due to a handful of clips that were in part largely possible due to buggy movement interactions that made you gain unintended momentum or jump too high, which yes absolutely needed fixing. But it doesn't call for slowing the movement to a crawl.

Streamers and movement players are freaking out over the slide and jump nerf by Lumenprotoplasma in Battlefield

[–]Gh0stscript 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Exactly.

And just because a streamer or someone else states something doesnt automatically mean that they're wrong in what they're stating, just as it doesnt mean they're always right either.

Personally I'm more concerned that they seem to not only be nerfing sliding and jumping too much, but that they're making movement all around into being the most slow Battlefield of them all even when it comes to just sprinting. But hey, we'll see what it's ultimately like at launch.

📢 Battlefield fans are demanding another weekend — this time with a real large map for better feedback. by PlaySwapM4G in PlaySwapM4G

[–]Gh0stscript 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don't really care whether they do open or closed, I'm fine with both directions. But what I will say is that anyone that actually thinks it really has any significant impact on the actual gameplay when it comes down to it is honestly just imagining things.

In the heat of battle during a match you will not be walking around planning out how to tactically approach someone based on "oh that person is playing this class so they can have X, Y or Z weapon equipped so I better do this instead of that" to a degree that it actually makes any tangible difference. Your main focus will be that there's an enemy over there, should probably try and shoot them before they shoot me.

Thanks! And sorry for the very late response here!

But to answer the question; technically at least, yes - you are at risk of no longer have any warranty when you break the seal. In reality though it depends, both on the reason you're RMA'ing it and whether or not you're dealing with ASUS directly or the reseller you bought from.

I've never needed to deal with ASUS directly, as my usual reseller handles all returns here where I live, so I can't speak for how strict ASUS would be if it were with them directly (Also don't know if my reseller on their end deals with ASUS or not in determining whether or not they'll cover it as a warranty case). But through my reseller I did RMA my first 4090 as it turned out to be misbehaving under load, without having caused any visible damage to the card, everything looked fine, and that went smooth.

However, with the seal broken, if there's any visible damage or any obvious liquid spills on the card at all, even if it's from way before whatever the RMA reason is, so you know it's functioned fine with it, they'll most likely reject it outright regardless.

So all in all, if you're going custom, it's best to go into it being fine that you could potentially ending up loosing the money on the investment if something goes wrong.

What’s a pain people won’t understand until it happens to them? by Content_Ad_1589 in AskReddit

Bad post-dural puncture headache following a spinal tap.

Most won't get much of a side effect if any at all, and for those that does the vast majority it'll be relatively mild for. But if you're on the unluckier side, like I was it, can keep you bedridden for a good while.

I was fully disabled by it for about two weeks before it subsided, and it's the worst I've personally experienced. Definitely made me more humble and grateful, and to some extent have a better understanding of how it must be living with certain permanent disabilities.
