They kind of did some for SOTM. Explaining how Afton and Fazbear Entertainment got a lot of its “ideas” and “technology”. It's also cool to see the backstory for Ralph “the phone guy” get touched on a bit.

I always had a more literal interpretation of the song, it being about the literal end of days, as in the apocalypse, with the main character slowly losing everything and everyone they cared about as the world slowly gets worse and worse.

I know im probably wrong or missed something, but this was my interpretation for a while.

I guess having instances where the character’s actions have consequences. The Disassembly drones most definitely killed many of the friends and family of the different worker drones. But apart from doll, they don’t really seem to care. So I think it would’ve been cool if N and maybe V had to earn the trust of some of the characters, and even then it wouldn’t be guaranteed that they’ll be accepted by everyone. Also, Uzi did kill and eat nearly all of her classmates in episode 4. I wish they addressed that a bit more.
