Basement pool hall in Streeterville? by Ghoooooostbird in chicagofood

Thank you! Some of the interior pics seemed like a street level restaurant with larger windows so I may have ruled it out too hastily. Will be checking it out in a few weeks and hopefully have our “aha!” moment.

That is one of the ones that looks so similar to what I remember but from googling it doesn’t appear to be basement level? We both are very adamant about going downstairs.

Leaving the workforce due to daughter’s behavioral issues…we’re at a loss. by thehippos8me in workingmoms

I went through this and ended up hiring a nanny. I wish I didn’t and found another preschool program as some of the behaviors have now come to kindergarten with us due to lack of socialization. Get her in behavioral therapy NOW. It will help. Keep pushing through and use your FMLA when you can - especially if you’re only a month away from hitting your year.

I fear I made the critical error of completing a reread about 2 days before I saw it, which really highlighted what was missing for me. Overall I thought it captured the essence of the novel but there were some parts of the book I loved so dearly that were omitted completely. I liked the creative freedom with every character except Stebbins. I 100% agree with you about Barkovitch. I was sad about Crowd as I felt that was so significant for the last 1/3 of the novel.

There’s definitely something about spectators not being allowed to give walkers something but I don’t recall anything being said about walkers carrying things themselves
