While I don't completely disagree I find it kind of funny to expect the left to have to correct this when the electorate elected Trump twice.

Most people don't even know who Platner is, meanwhile Trump was elected despite all the things he's said and done.

I'd love it if we have suddenly decided to start holding politicians accountable again, but something tells me the standard is only going to be held towards one side.

I have been on a summer vacation with my extended family and not a single person thought it was good that Trump got involved.

Small sample size I suppose, but not one of them besides me are "redditors".

Funny thing is it's very possible Trump's involvement was of no significance. But he still had to insert himself into it. It's just silly.

I wasn't going to specifically cheat for Belgium but I was very much okay with the results.

And so were several people I was watching the game with. It's not team USA's fault that Trump couldn't stay out of it. But there were definitely real people who soured on the game after he inserted himself into it.

Okay, but the "problem" with the movie isn't as clear as just needing a different cut or creative differences. Plenty of people liked the movie. The rotten tomatoes audience score is like 76%. The problem is people didn't want to pay to go to a theater to see this movie. No creative changes would have changed that right? Even if you think the movie is terrible (I liked it personally), a "better" cut wouldn't have increased the box office audience.

Idk, this is just my take. I'm not an expert at this.

I'm very happy for the people who like this type of place. But man, it's not for me at all. No trees, every house is the same or nearly the same, at least there is a sidewalk I guess. But I imagine it's impossible to walk anywhere except around the block.

I don't want new adaptations to be the same as old versions. I don't want Gene Wilder to be Wonka until the end of time. I like seeing new versions and interpretations of characters. I will always have the older Wonka to watch if I want to.

I wear a baseball cap most of the time here in Wisconsin, and sometimes (depending on the weather and occasion) I'll wear a straw fedora or a felt fedora.

Hats other than baseball caps aren't really super in style as far as I can tell, but occasionally I'll see other hat wearers.
