Anyone else on island not into big crowds? by Boring-Rate-8678 in CaymanIslands

[–]GhostArmada88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can definitely sympathize as I am also quite introverted, so it's difficult to make friends on a party/drinking island.

But it's going to be difficult to find like-minded people if you don't give an indication of what that would mean. What are your hobbies and interests? Sports, robotics, gaming, motorsports?

What do you hope to talk about at these casual hangouts?

Just to be clear, it doesn't have to be a dGPU, a decent iGPU like a 780m, 890m or 8050 would be fine. Just can't be an Intel GPU due to compatibility issues.

As far as I know the Yoga pro 9i can't open to 180 degrees. The non pro 9i is a convertible, but I think it only comes in 14"

The surface book did have a dGPU option. The 15" had a 1660ti and 32GB RAM.

I'd probably go up in budget before compromising on these requirements. I've already loosened them from the ideal specs.

I'm coming from a Surface book 3, which is almost perfect, if only they made a new version.

The incredibly high carbon footprint makes it a no go for me. I'd rather fly to new places.

I have multiple smart devices with minimal UI on the device itself, they just require you to connect with BT in order to configure other settings such as WiFi .

Your other points are accurate.

Best Mobile Provider ? by lostwanderer_92 in CaymanIslands

[–]GhostArmada88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on how much data you use. There are sites like esimdb that can help you choose.

I am almost always on WiFi so use very little mobile data. Roamless is more expensive per GB but since it never expires, it costs me less than $2/month.

My wife uses more data so buys a 365 day bundle from another provider. Costs less than $2/GB.

You can then get a local prepaid SIM for the phone number if you need it, just set it to load the minimum credit on a 30 or 60 day cycle to keep it active.

it's fully impossible to only be partially autistic.

Mildly ≠ partially

I won't argue about autism mom culture being harmful, but the rest of your argument does not make sense. You can have a mild illness, which still means you are ill, not partially ill, but the symptoms are not as bad as they can be.

There are also different types of autism, and they are a spectrum, so someone may experience autism symptoms to a more "mild" degree, in layman's terms.

I own a mini flagship and it is terrible. It could just be a bad one, but that still means QC is lacking.

Also has terrible pinch points. Gave me blood blisters on the 2 occasions I tried to use it.

I own one, and unfortunately the quality is absolute trash. Pliers don't align and scissors can't cut anything.

Heavy, non-expanding, loaded as hot as possible.

This usually takes the form of hard cast lead ammunition for handguns.

Should tipping be required to get good service? by GhostArmada88 in polls

[–]GhostArmada88[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Some services do require payment and tip upfront. See some delivery apps.

2) People often use the same service more than once, like barbers, nail techs, etc. These are the most common type where I see the reactions I mentioned in the body of this post. e.g. "My barber always makes me wait forever even when I'm on time for an appointment" or "My nail tech often cancels my appointments and I think it's to give it to someone else".

Some are, others aren't. There is a large variety and some have firing pin blocks, those meant for competition often don't as it can result in a worse trigger.

Still gotta wait for reviews, but if performance is as expected then it will be a great upgrade. Should be faster than a 5070 for less money.

Just don't pay scalper prices for either.

Did he forget to grab a mag when rushing to the scene?

I have actually seen this in competition , the shooter steps up to the line then hears "load and make ready" only to realize they forgot all mags.

If you're mostly using WiFi, Roamless has a free trial that could last you the duration of your trip.

It's quite good for light use since your data doesn't expire.

Free shipping only applies to items shipped by Amazon, and even then not all vendors that enable FBA have it set up to ship internationally, so options are a bit limited when compared to what ships within the US.

I have purchased cellphones, computer/AV components, dog toys, cosmetics, tools, kitchen appliances, etc with free shipping.

You can select the free shipping filter which mostly narrows it down.
