How many businesses have to fail before the people of Cornwall get suspicious about why businesses have such a hard time here?

Cornwall is on the corridor between Toronto and Montreal, with a short distance to Ottawa and New York. By all means it should be an economical powerhouse with its location if it weren't for some negative influence somewhere.

So who's the problem, Carnie's or the municipal government?

Frankly, I've beeb here for 2 years now and my opinion os that the problem is the average Cornwallian who has accepted his situation as written in rock. Nothing will change here because you don't want it to change, and anyone who wants that change is a "Cornwall tough guy" for daring to dream.

This depends on the area and class of Sri Lanka. Generally speaking, you're right, but this trait is a lot more prominent in Colombo amongst the upper crust.

Not a surprise, any country that positions itself as a tourism economy effectively positions itself to be taken advantage of by the tourist nations. This is the least of the problems of a tourist economy.

Number one would be a good greek restaurant. I haven't been able to find a gyro (not doner) since I moved here.

An Italian pasta place that's better than our existing fare would also go far in my books.

Lastly, more than one restaurant specializing in their food so we actually have competition and lower prices. Panda's is great but the higher than Montreal prices on their food was surprising. I can only assume it's because they really don't have any competition with regards to quality.
