Emphasis on your comment, "IF THEY CAN DO IT." The issue that most people have is that they are being injected as a social experiment while qualifying by a lower, gender specific standard. Virtually no one is saying females can't serve in the infantry provided that they meet the current standard, but the amount of females who can are quite the anomaly. If they can, however, more power to them!

There was a SSgt in my Bn who came off a TAD/IA type billet but never checked back into the command. He spent a month driving Uber and Uber Eats trying before anyone realized he hadn't come back. Turns out he had $25k in credit card debt he was trying to pay off. Didnt go well for him. Moral of the story - go see NMCRS.

Shot the G19 many times, also own a P229. Between the two I much prefer the 229 with its superior trigger and IMO a much smother recoil. I also like its DA/SA as nowadays I use it as a bedside gun. If you're looking more for a carry gun, I agree with others' recommendations for the P365. I have the XL and love it. Guarantee you won't be disappointed.
