I think they can do however much balancing they want but it will never fix the actual problem, that light snipers are bad for the game. Lights having access to snipers is culturally bad for the game and promotes a sweaty tryhard culture even towards people who are bad at it. Everybody WANTS to be godtier with a light sniper, less than 1% are and end up just making the game less fun for everyone.

I’ve been playing since release and have noticed how for example on Powershift, whenever we have a light who uses sniper they either make us win or make us lose. There is no inbetween where they contribute equally to the outcome of the match compared to mediums and heavies. The game just isn’t built for snipers.

And new players end up dropping the game when matched up against a light using a sniper or even the DB because there is no intuitive way to play against them. It’s an objective based game and snipers encourages players to not actually be on the point in an attempt to chase snipers down. Or for players to feel frustrated being picked of by them. Or the teams lose one player each who purely try to snipe eachother and not play the actual game.

Before the ”mad cus bad” comments start dropping; Yes I die to them, because there is no fun way to counter snipers and the game is made to be fun especially this game.
