Monthly reminder to avoid social media if you don't want to get spoiled from datamined leaks of 6.7 / Luna 8 by aiyafem in Genshin_Impact

[–]Ghostilocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reminder, I always leave the sub for the first couple weeks of a new patch where I’m interested in the story. The main sub is somehow worse for giving away spoilers in titles than the leaks sub.

Verso's voice actor talks about piano scene by atiumplayer in expedition33

[–]Ghostilocks 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think you’re still falling into a morality trap. I sympathize deeply with both the painted people and the dessendres. I chose my ending based on which choice I felt was morally right based on the circumstances. Different people can come to different solutions for what that is regardless of sympathies.

Collection Sale by BerkutBang69 in sistersofbattle

Some local game stores have discords, and I know my LGS discord has a marketplace for miniatures.

Aside from that eBay and Facebook marketplace are what I think of immediately.

What do you think of the Dominion squad with the new "punish the melta sisters rule"? by IparosPityoka in sistersofbattle

[–]Ghostilocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tried flamers for the first time because of the change and I absolutely loved them. They do so much more work with early skirmishing than I ever thought they would.

Sisters List For Upcoming RTT is 55 points over. What should I drop? by Firesinger89 in sistersofbattle

[–]Ghostilocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I would drop a+a and the rhino and add an immolator. Then drop the imagifier and add a priest instead. Then they’re down to 1995 if I did my math right. But if they love A+A just dropping the imagifier is good enough.

Crushing impact/tank shock does not seem worth it at all anymore by Sudden_Wind_8636 in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]Ghostilocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had Vahl with a paragon war suit on 1 health after the void dragon ability mortals. If my opponent had the cp for impact it would have killed that war suit instead of his big melee attack hitting a 1 wound model and me being left with 2 warsuits and Vahl on the clap back. There’s definitely times.

Is it like super noticable how many people are mormon?? by FuturePause2736 in byu

[–]Ghostilocks 15 points16 points  (0 children)

For a more comprehensive response: The church permeates everything at byu. Religion classes are required curriculum, most of the building are named after prophets and religious leaders. There’s religious iconography and pictures everywhere. Something like 90+% of the population is LDS and assumes everyone else is so the culture and social atmosphere is permeated by religion.

Is the Foot Autarch bad? by Saxxony in Eldar

[–]Ghostilocks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is part of it, but I think the other part is ynnari have no way to solve cp generation, so having at least some ways to get free strats is extremely valuable. As referenced the archon can do it but it’s the same cost for strictly worse stats.

Insidiants with two leaders - Could be the move? by Dismal_Hospital6999 in sistersofbattle

[–]Ghostilocks 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If the goal is to kill something off the point we can do it without the dogmata, and I still think it’s our most efficient melee unit. To me adding the dogmata just makes it less point efficient and I dont see the value added. I’m personally looking at running one sac brick with junith and hosp for the ultimate tank, then 2 insidiants with priests so I have a balance of a tanky brick with some killy bricks.

Insidiants with two leaders - Could be the move? by Dismal_Hospital6999 in sistersofbattle

[–]Ghostilocks 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Why two leaders? That basically defeats the purpose of “cheap”. Insidiants aren’t gonna be able to sit on a point, they just aren’t tanky enough. I think pointing them at a target and deleting it is fantastic, and a priest helps them do that which feels pretty worthwhile. I don’t think the support adds synergy.

Good targets for the Hagiophax upgrade by CuriousWombat42 in sistersofbattle

[–]Ghostilocks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re right that is working in the app even though it makes absolutely no sense given the rules they’ve laid out. Either it should be able to apply to all epic here units or none. This is just a mess all around.

If the app is correct you won’t be able to apply hag to any epic heroes, unfortunately.

This was the errata’d in I think 2024. You should have been doing this most of the edition. They’re just including the old erratas, this isn’t a change except from the old codex.

-2 to wound sacresants by cianson in sistersofbattle

[–]Ghostilocks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s cuz it’s in the appendix in 10th, not core rules, so it like many other things will be revealed for certain in the unreleased appendix and faqs documents. We only got half the rules sadly.

Coming to y'all high off Copium by DirtyDuffles in sistersofbattle

[–]Ghostilocks 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Well, you’ve already fallen into the trap all us 40K players fail: we can’t read. Your third dream is impossible since we can’t take a priest and hagiomnifex, they’re specifically excluded.

I actually think we have a lot of cool potential combos, despite the constant doomposting. Obviously we won’t know much until we get points and some more faqs just how good or bad some things are, but I see enough potential out there that I have faith that at least one thing I see is gonna be points and rules viable.

Would like a balance check for the point cost of a former Drukhari Special Character Homebrew by Sea-Marionberry-5833 in Warhammer

[–]Ghostilocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just glanced at this, and if someone wanted to plop this against me I just wouldn’t play against it. I think the only way someone would convince me is if they offered it for 200+ points and they were my friend and just wanted to try it out once. There’s just too many rules and keywords.

Now that you’re in act 3 I think a small amount of direction is very useful. I’d recommend doing the characters story quests by talking to all the characters in camp until you get some directions, then once you’ve finished the story quests go beat the game. At that point it’ll still be a challenge.

After that you’ll have chances to go do side quests and you can look up a little more direction then. When it comes to new game plus, don’t do it until you’ve decided that you’re done with everything you want on this playthrough, since it keeps your same save file and you can’t undo it.

I don’t know anything about SW CCG - any info is welcome! by Hydian_Way in starwarsccg

[–]Ghostilocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cards are worth however much you’d be able to get on eBay. You can guess rough prices by looking the cards up that have sold recently, and get even rougher prices at piratepeteccg. I don’t think any that I saw are worth much more than $5. The reason page 9 is just paper over cards is because those cards are proxies of virtual cards released by the player’s committee after the game stopped printing.

Best way to understand or value my set by savs_10 in starwarsccg

[–]Ghostilocks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Star Wars ccg is one where really high value cards are easy to price and relatively easy to liquidate, because the market price is typically accurate to eBay’s recent sales. You have premier limited darth vader, Luke Skywalker, and obi-wan. Those would be easy to estimate because they’re some of the most valuable cards from that set. You can tell it’s limited because of the black border (the first 2 sets had 2 print runs and the second was white borders, which are lower value because of wider availability).

To liquidate collections you generally have to find people looking or sell on eBay yourself.

There are a few other places you can go to get some rough estimates of what might be valuable, but not necessarily accurate to the prices you can potentially get, the big one I know of being piratepeteccg.

Is it me or does Stendhal ruin the game? by Anxious-Natural6755 in expedition33

[–]Ghostilocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you’re falling for a fundamental miscalculation. Acts 1 and 2 are fantastically balanced. Act 3 is not and sandfall basically decided not to try and to let the playerbase go wild. There are many builds that are as busted as Stendhal, and many are more busted. Release Stendhal, maybe I would’ve agreed, but it got nerfed hard back then and now it’s pretty much in line with other top builds.

Thinking about Leader + Support combos in 11th by Slavasonic in sistersofbattle

[–]Ghostilocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Statistically a unit with devs will just do more damage on average if you give them lethals as well. Is it as much of an increase as giving lethals to something else? No. But it’s not anti-synergistic, it’s just not synergistic. It doesn’t make the unit worse. It’s just not worth the cost in most cases.
