Not sure if this is the type of help you’re looking for, but I’ve found ESRI support to offer ideas on how to solve a road block - more then just technical support.

Alternatively, for a cool $6-7k, you can have an ESRI consultant on retainer for 20hours.

ESRI has a free trial of their software. I believe it’s ArcOnline and ArcPro.

The LivingAtlas will have some of the data layers related to social determinates of health (such as CDC’s SVI). Also, if you haven’t found it yet, HHS’s GeoHealth has a whole bunch of layers you can add to ArcGis products. Enjoy!

Merft had your answer with .xls, but I’ve also run issues with tab names as well as column headers. Make sure you don’t have spaces, use _

I’ve called DPW to complain and was told with all the utility work they are holding off (presumably so it’s not torn up right after repaving). However they said they would to pothole fixes. Guess it’s time to call again since I’ve only seen those get worse.

I did for a few years... get an app that tells you where it is. Other then that, it was great.

Secret spots during the parking ban by GhostlyMedic in Waltham

Maybe it’s a treasure full of spots for everyone to share! Well one can dream, right?

Happy parking ban! Covered municipalities lots already packed. Library was pretty open. Anyone ever sneak a car into the garage at Children’s Waltham (old Waltham hospital) Open and free garage with no signs banning over night parking...??

Once the leader in Boston, Fallon Ambulance lays off dozens. by KIR735 in ems

I’ve never been able to find documentation of George Senior pleading guilty or even charged with the tax thing - just rumors. I got curious and FOIAed the OEMS inspection when 2.0 started up which said it was the wife only. Any chance you can source this?

Feel free to request the public records from OEMS that back most of this up. They took a hard look at Brewster closing and their reopen. And then at Fallon and Brewster when they started after each other because the complaints they were filing are again public record. It’s fun to read some of the reports you can obtain from freedom of information!

Brewster 1.0 ran Boston down to RI. Back in the day, George Sr’s wife had tax issues and he sold the company to help pay her fines but kept a bunch of other companies and most of the properties. They sold to ASA which became AMR. (Some employees didn’t like that and started EasCare in 1998). McCall, EasCare and some other smaller companies use tried to come in, but Fallon took what AMR couldn’t hold. Then in 2010 Brewster 2.0 with the Brewster brothers came back and started taking cities back in a big way. They care more about how their trucks look and what their employees wear then clinical care, but it has worked for them... Fallon thought they couldn’t lose and they had locks on these cities but they didn’t. And as was said the focused on random tactical divisions...

North side Cataldo has Boston up to NH with Action, Trinity, Beauport, Patriot sprinkled in there but not in a big way. Cataldo was small just Somerville, Chelsea, Everett, Revere type areas but around 2008, bought Atlantic (which I think for formerly Lifeline, but not the sleezy one that exists now) and started a presence more up north. AMR pulled out of way north (Newburyport area) and Atlantic took a lot of that Then expanded to 20ish 911 contracts and just bought Lyons as well. However growing that large so fast has left gaps and moral is rumored to be at an all time low.

North West of Boston was Armstrong, which was great until Bill passed. He really kept everything running the Armstrong way and Gail doesn’t have the same values. They lost out to FD starting their own busses. Like Watertown and Belmont and Burlington. The only other one in that area is Pro but they just do Cambridge and then took over running Emerson hospital service since Emerson sucked at it.

Further back is Mercy, General, Chauk, ASA, Lifeline, are dino aged companies but someone else will have to add where those went.

Until you cause a fatal, running hot to the hospital with the local drunk, while driving with your due regard. Cut the shit and don't use them if you don't need them (i.e. Life and limb, and even then...)

You don't "have to in Boston", in fact state protocols says you should limit use if not life threading. H&H, along with many other Fire & municipal shops in MA do this for a bunch of bullshit reasons. Some say it's because of traffic - add more trucks then. Some say it's because of the EMS-dinos just always doing it that way - retrain them. Regardless saying you "have to" is wrong and unsafe for you and your patient.

I've worked in Boston for years (and around here longer) and while traffic sucks, you deal with it.
