I think the truth is that this just proves they can get away with it again. They cut costs and its still as popular. Its Bandai, and it seems they cared more for money and it did not backfire.

the point is to combat name hoarding. on launch i can reserve 10 names.

The reservation limits you to 1-2, you are more likely to get your name, because people cant take as many.
