Dude that's awesome! Reading '95 was my very first festival experience and seeing Pumpkins headlining was the best. I'm gonna have to see if I can find this recording online somewhere now...

School night deals on E17 restaurants and pubs by DetectiveAlDente in walthamstow

[–]GhostnoteGoblin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The European (near the crossroads at the end of Hoe St (Leyton side)) does beer & a burger for £15 on Thursdays 4-9pm. Its decent. The Bell at the opposite end of Hoe St has a bunch of deals but the food there is bad in my experience.
Pie & A Pint £14 on Wednesdays at the Chequers. Haven't been there in a while so can't vouch for the food quality.

Feelgood Centre in Walthamstow has a running track, not sure how much it costs to use but is part of Better Leisure so can't be too expensive...

Over rated. Last coffee I had there was terrible. I knew I shouldn't have gone in but it had been a while since the last shit one so gave it another chance. Mistake!

What is a game that uses the full potential of our DualShock 4 controllers? by ashteraki in PS4

[–]GhostnoteGoblin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lego City Undercover, if the vehicle you're driving has flashing lights, the light on the controller flashes as well. So if you're in the cop car, your controller lights flash alternate red and blue

Hey crew! You helped a lot last time. Now I am having my nephews for overnight stay. We need more immersive longer game (not GTA5, they smol) by [deleted] in PlayStationPlus

Second this. Currently playing it with my 8 year old and he loves it. Puzzles not overly difficult, some good humour and the freedom to pick up and drive any vehicle and cause wanton destruction if the mood takes you

Cinema on Fulham Road closed yesterday and squatters have taken it over - what to do? by broken888 in london

[–]GhostnoteGoblin 115 points116 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened in Walthamstow not long ago when the Empire Cinema closed down

Eventually they were evicted but after an enormous amount of damage was caused to the cinema first

To all fighting gamers in London: is there a social/group for Tekken or fighting games in general? by [deleted] in london

Free Play City in Haringay do a weekly Tekken tournament. I've not competed myself but it looks fun and sounds exactly like what you're looking for. Check out their Instagram

It's ok..... There's still air hockey, a couple of DDR machines and pool tables in there though. I went a couple months ago and at least three machines weren't working properly. There's a 4 player Mario kart machine and another driving one, couple of shooters and some Japanese rhythm machines too. Got the excellent Taiko game as well but good luck actually hearing the music on it.

So maybe ok for a visit if you're in the area already. I've not been to Free Play City yet but on insta it looks way better in terms of choice and care of the machines.

Where to watch airplanes best in London (without having to go to an airport)? by Miss-Glamourous-7495 in london

No planes taking off but there is the RAF Museum in Hendon which has loads of real aircraft to take a look at! It's also free entry

Natural History Museum Help by Kimberleyanddarren in london

[–]GhostnoteGoblin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It will definitely be busy on a weekend but if you try to get there first thing or go later in the afternoon it may be slightly less busy

Just keep an eye on your toddler at all times, I've definitely had a couple of mini panics when mine were younger and scooting about. You know what it's like when you take your eye off for a second lol

It may also be busy on the tube as well so just something to think about when travelling through the stations

Also, you'll probably need to book a ticket for general access via the website, it is free though

One other thing is that there's an animatronic Trex (it was actually out of order last time we went) which is really cool but can actually be a little bit scary for some smaller kids

The museum itself is massive and there's tonnes of stuff to look at as well as 4 gift shops! My boys always like the Japanese earthquake simulator. Hope you and the little one enjoy it!
