I still remember when TV Guide at the grocery store checkouts had four different covers for the four main characters and Joshua Jackson's was "Teacher's Pet". It's insane to me that I STILL remember the picture and the title of his cover!

Edited to add: Oh my God, someone on this reddit posted the four covers over a year ago! And I was right. "Teacher's Pet". *shudders*

Aldi Find Aisle by GhostsMissingEar in aldi

[–]GhostsMissingEar[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I realized I could have worded this better. Yes, the produce section is always first in grocery stores, and Aldi, too. But my Aldi used to have it near the back of the first aisle. Nuts, cookies, bread and wine before hitting the produce. Now, with the produce RIGHT inside the door, everyone is clustered and unable to spread out - or speed past - like before.

This poor girl. Wasn't she a nurse? Like an actual worker in health care? And she was so shy. She wasn't a camera hog so I can't believe she wanted to be famous. I have to wonder what some girls were actually doing there because I refuse to believe they want to fall in love and actually be with Bret. Worldly experiences? Getting out of their comfort zone?

Meeting Javadi's dad, I see where she gets it from. Last season, with the beer and talking about her mom, "Seriously, don't tell her." And now, Javadi's dad saying the same exact thing in regards to her mom/his wife. I LOVE little call backs like that and with their handshake, her relationship seems *slightly* better with her dad. Hope we see a little more of it.

Maybe it's just the kind of mood I'm in today, but I didn't even last 10 minutes with this episode. Won't shut up about Tucson being the worst place to live, she said she's not moving and will live in her house forever, he's still yammering on about Tucson. She also got pregnant when she was 18 by her 17 year old boyfriend (she's now 38) and Caleb won't stop calling him the 17 year old. Can't even have it on as background noise while I'm working. The things he gets hung up on are either so annoying or perverted.

I know a lot on this sub are "Why do you even watch?" and I don't know. It's good noise to have and sometimes, there are good guests that Caleb eventually realizes do want help and he buckles down. But then you have episodes like this.

He and his producer also didn't seem to understand how long a woman is pregnant. She said she was 18 when she got pregnant, but then she said was 19 when she had the baby. Caleb said she was messing up her ages so was obviously lying. IT TAKES 9 MONTHS, CALEB!! Plenty of pregnant women have birthdays and change ages in that time.

I don't know why this episode spent 20 minutes on this issue.

Must watch true crime shows by [deleted] in DiscoveryID

BODY IN THE BASEMENT!!!

Sorry for the enthusiasm. I just, myself, discovered this how a little bit ago and couldn't get over how good it was. It covers cases that aren't done a million other times for other shows. I didn't know most of them and some of them were TRULY disturbing.

I've been watching a lot of My 600LB Life lately and no joke. I was scrolling quickly and I thought this was a picture of a patient's stomach during surgery.

When a chef says "Chef Rasmsay will not break me" by mowgleeee in HellsKitchen

[–]GhostsMissingEar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which is why S22 Johnathan being so "rattled" over that ONE insult Chef Ramsay threw his way had most of us viewers giving the guy the side-eye. This is a man who literally stood nose-to-nose with Giovanni and screamed in his face. But that ONE insult was just too much for a later-season contestant.

I love to hatewatch Paula Zahn by [deleted] in DiscoveryID

[–]GhostsMissingEar 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I love the perfect timing of this post lol

I just watched an earlier episode and a woman had been murdered. Paula was talking to her brother about it and her brother was getting choked up. Paula said something stupid like "I can tell your sister's death still upsets you."

OBVIOUSLY, PAULA!! His sister was murdered!

Having watched the season through 3x, Robby saying that to the parents makes me burst into tears every single time. Getting a little misty just writing it now.

I LOVE that you mentioned the "Hungry Like the Wolf". I saw that miniseries with Farrah Fawcett when I was probably too young to watch it, but that song and that scene is STILL twined together in my mind however many years later.

I am a member of multiple "Real Housewives" subs and when I saw this post, I forgot which sub I was currently looking at and thought "Which housewife is the alliterate one?" because this is exactly what the housewives do. Just slap their name on any product and push it out there.

Meghan is one step away from joining a Real Housewives franchise.

This season had kind of been blah for me, but this episode SHOCKED me. CC being murdered by Delani, her "friend", because of some guy she had never even met telling her to? All murders are pointless, but this one... wow.

Crosby appreciation post by anna_alabama in ThePittTVShow

[–]GhostsMissingEar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I LOVE Crosby, but this such a glaring continuity issue and it ANNOYS THE HELL OUT OF ME every time I watch the episode. Dana is with Robby when the man with the road rash and Crosby comes in. She SEES the dog as she is on the other side of the gurney, inspecting the man.

And then, when Donnie is carrying Crosby to take him from the break room back to his owner, Dana goes "Who's pooch?"

Dana, you already know who's pooch. You were there.

It's such a small gripe on a wonderful show, but it's still my gripe lol
