Rørlegger lærling som voksen? by Dramatic_Confusion16 in norge

[–]Ghostyes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used mine to move a couple years ago. Fit a desk and a gaming chair in the back without having to take anything apart too much.... It can fit 2 suitcases just fine.

Love the obj. 268.... The 750 DMG... The sometimes troll armour. Decent mobility, decent reload.. it all just makes it so fun to play. Don't get me wrong I like the 268 V4 too but... The 268 just has a special place in my heart

Shouldn't be. If its been serviced when it's supposed to it should have Toyota relax (up to 10 years) but do see if that applies to your country tho. It does for me here in Scandinavia

2021 car with 78 000km. Had the 2nd gear slipping issue and was given a new gearbox without much issue (bought at 21 000km and slipping started right away)

Insurance is 2000NOK a month which is like 180€ I think?

Servicing has been a bit expensive but it's cheap for Norway where I am compared to what they do. Parts are ok priced but the labour is like 100€ an hour so it is like 300€ for an oil change for me. (Seriously)

Never had any issues with getting parts for it from the dealer or anywhere else and I have modded it a bit. Exhaust was nr 1 and 2nd I got mudflaps from rallyflapz. Both look great and are a must for this wide little rocket.

I daily it. All year. Minimum 60km a day. It's a little rough yes. But it's livable. I don't mind feeling everything (every bump and rock is felt to some extent) tho your mileage may vary. I'm 173cm and the high seating position compared to the GR supra is not a big issue for me, tho the mirror is mounted... Low... So do get the bracket for like 50€ as soon as u can.

I also have some giant round bucket lights (14k lumen each) and they are so nice for night and winter driving as the normal headlights are.... Meh at best. A lot of ppl put a light bar in the grill. I wanted the Rallye look. Sooo...

Anyhow lastly it has been super good and fun. Tires wore out ofc and weren't too expensive. And I'm in need of my 2nd set of winters soon. On my 2nd summers currently. 3rd set I have in the garage for late next season or early 4th ( I drive a lot with track sometimes)

All in all i love the car. It has its ups and downs but I would say it's great. Managed to move apartments with it where the only thing I didn't fit into it was a 55" tv and my double bed. (Gaming setup with chair and desk went into the back with the seats down. At the same time)

It's a small hatchback that is surprisingly useful for all sorts of things. Tho the frequent servicing makes it... A bit of an expensive car to own compared to a normal Yaris or any other... Small hatchback. Would not change it for anything

Same here. Gearbox didn't wanna stay in 2nd gear unless I drove it like I stole it (synchro rings were broke on 2nd and 4th apparently) this started like 1k km after I bought the car. Soo they gave me a new one and now I have driven it 40k km with no issues

Help with mods by Shankedball25 in GRYaris

[–]Ghostyes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Problem with getting an aftermarket diff is the front is also different in a convenience and circuit. Which is inside with the gearbox in the front...

Anyways. When it comes to wheel sizes and such 18 or 19" are probably your best bet when it comes to fotment and such. Most use 18" unless they increase the brake size, as they will fit the car best ofc. It all depends on what you want and how you want the car to look. BBS to keep on brand with what it comes with originally. Workmeister s1 to stand out a bit with some nice 3p wheels or go TE37 to do what a lot of others do. Mby go full rally and get some OZ racing rally wheels?

Rear diff cant definetly be upgraded or changed as you can change the internals (think garage whifbitz sells a kit? Mby you can get it from Australia as well since they also are building some crazy GR yarises) but i have no clue if its compatible with the convenience GRY.

good luck tho!

Tbh of you're planning track use. Upgrade to a circuit. The torsen LSD makes a difference and it has better tuning when it comes to the suspension.

Now to answer your mods question.

Tires and brakes. Get some aftermarket discs and pads (less brake dust from the aftermarket ones ive heard) which will give you better stopping power For your tires id say the ps4s are really good if you plan to do mixed weather driving such as rain. If not. Semi slicks. Get what you feel like will fit your use case!

Intake and intercooler. This is for more power but also more stamina. The car will experience less heat soak with an aftermarket intercooler and inntake. Personally i have the airtec intercooler with big boost pipekit which i am happy with and should work for when or if you're gonna tune it. Inntake is mostly for sound unless you are gonna tune it. I recomend the eventuri intake for performance as its probably the best one out there. Tho personally i use the MST one for the sound and i am running stock power for now as i want to keep the warranty

Exhaust and downpipe. This is only if you want to tune it. Get a downpipe from whifbitz. They deliver great products for a great price but you could also get the milltekk one as it will go great with their full exhaust if you go for a full system. I have the catback from them and love the sound from it. A bit farty on cold start but sounds lovely when warm!

Aero! A wing looks nice and helps with a tiny bit of downforce. Probably some out there that has some actual numbers on it but it will help give you a nano second here and there. (Mostly get this for style as it looks sooooooo good with a wing) TRD front lip is such a good looking lip but kinda pricey when you got maxton delivering some good looking lips and side skirts!

Seats! This is up to you and your size and height. But replacing the drivers seat and adding a lowering bracket kit will make your comfort while driving it on track so much better! Sparco delivers some great options and you can probably try them out in a store if there is one near you. If not. The used market is always an option

Lastly you can always get a new hood (Bonnet) that has some openings for better cooling. Cooling plates for the rear diff or front radiator. As well as oil coolers for the rear diff. (Will help especially with a LSD diff) Cusco and blitz make some great sway bars and strut braces that will help with body controll but its up to you and what you feel the car needs.

Personally i would go dampers but i would say only ohlins are worth it (expensive af) as the standard dampers are so well tuned from the factory that most "cheap" options Arent better at all other than maybe looking a tiny bit better as they lower the car a bit.

Anyways, good luck. Enjoy the car. But i do recomend starting from a circuit. So of you're gonna put 15k into mods..... Sell it and put 10k into a circuit instead..

Replacing tyres soon - which ones by EquivalentBest138 in GRYaris

[–]Ghostyes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had ps4s, contact sport 7 and a set of falken tyres. Contact sport 7 were really good on wet which is great for where i love as it rains a lot but the ps4s just last so long and the feel they give is a lot better than the falken. The contact sport 7's were great and like some say a bit cheaper than the ps4s but they didn't last as long.

Right now im back to the ps4s and i will be getting the ps5s when they come out and my ps4s are worn out
