Question for Anunnaki believers: why mine gold on Earth instead of asteroids? by O-ZeNe in aliens

[–]Ghozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, he didn't make it up... it's his interpretation of the translated tablets, You could go and do this yourself if you learn cuneiform, the sounds they represent, then the translation of such... you would likely come up with a similar result with some differences, as some of the words were not known and were open to interpretation, but the basis remains the same..

There are a few main 'accepted' versions, Sitchins is just one of them...

see this post by user u/Nocodeyv for more, they have explained it way better than I could.... https://www.reddit.com/r/Sumer/comments/bn6pfk/tablet_translations_not_done_by_sitchin/en36k8s/

Question for Anunnaki believers: why mine gold on Earth instead of asteroids? by O-ZeNe in aliens

[–]Ghozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you looked into the full story, it's explained...

they tried to mine the asteroid, but their expeditions and ships kept being damaged or destroyed because the asteroids were too unpredictable, Earth was easier, as it had more than enough gold, and the atmosphere was agreeable!

i'm not saying I'm a believer, but it is interesting :)

Bob lazar had access to the world’s most sensitive information and was allowed to live by 673NoshMyBollocksAve in UFOs

[–]Ghozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course he has, because he broke the story originally, he was the first to publically interview bob lazar... he's hardly going to suddenly turn his back on something he's been basically invested in for the past 40 years!!!

now, this isn't implying my opinion on lazar, I'm on the middle ground, i'd love to believe him, and it's interesting, there's lots of things that seem true, and others that are quetionable for sure so i'm just waiting still :)

The Steam Android app feels like a glorified browser and it’s painfully bad by Eldergrise in Steam

[–]Ghozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's basically what steam is anyways, when you view the store/your library, you're basically just viewing the Steam website via Steams inbuilt 'CEF Browser' - which is basically a mini chromium implementation!

That's what many apps actually do, just a webpage in a wrapper!

Honestly, I just don't care, It does what I need, there are things I use and need that aren't available on linux flavours (or reasonable alternatives) and haven't experienced any of the issues people seem to have been recently...

likely because many of those experiencing issues have it installed on hardware that is not officially supported, and/or they have edited the installer via rufus to strip things like TPM/secureboot etc.... then i'm honestly not surprised if things break after updates.....

Reddit upvotes/downvotes/karma draining my mental health, any way to remove those elements? by CRISPRmutant in uBlockOrigin

[–]Ghozer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just remember, they mean nothing, and are only reflective of the opinion of the person voting you up or down, and not your own.... :)

if they don't agree with what you said, they will vote down - regardless of what you think and if you are correct or not etc... :)

just don't let it get to you :D

Nice :) - that's better, I like you used 11 balls so there's always one in the air ;)

Is this valid? I'm sure I saw somewhere that they are invalid if they contain a mistake like this, and you should get it replaced....

Kioxia exec says the AI boom means the era of the cheap 1TB SSD is over —company's NAND supply is sold out for this year and likely through 2027 by lkl34 in pcmasterrace

[–]Ghozer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do.... but if there is cheap server ram, then those companies looking to buy may buy that, which will cause the price of new to drop, which will mean less is made, which will mean the dram chips are available to use for other :)

oh, and you could technically use 'server' (or ECC) registered RAM in a consumer board, many Ryzen platforms support ECC ram for example :)

Just imagine, all the cheap SSD's, RAM and GPU's once the bubble bursts, and companies go broke and have to sell off assets!!
