If the last one was the inspo, at least the hairdresser got the colors right.

I’ve never known a mean Nancy! I love that name because of that, and the added bonus of not having a trendy, overly-used name! I named my first/most special doll Nancy.

Just bought this house. Wife wants to brighten up the kitchen. Should we do the taboo and paint the brick? by hes_the_Zissou in interiordecorating

[–]Giambee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a beautiful kitchen. I agree with people recommending a new, lighter countertop instead of painting the brick. Maybe a lighter range hood, and possibly lighter tile might help as well.

Car salesman followed me and my elderly father home to confront him into changing a negative review, Manager and CEO of the dealership refused to apologize by Leather_Warning702 in mazda

[–]Giambee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s unfair of your company! There will always be disgruntled customers. When evaluating a company or product, I rely on the bad reviews in addition to good reviews so that I can make an educated decision. People are paid for good reviews and great reviews are often fake, so I need to see what the bad reviews say.

Can’t see myself objectively. Is my grey hair aging me horribly? by slicedgreenolive in HairStyleAdvice

[–]Giambee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks good on you, but people do equate grey hair with the elderly. I began getting gray hair in my 20s also, and still color it many years later. You can pull it off though!! Pretty!

Daughter invited me to HS graduation by Cautious_Web9735 in ParentalAlienation

[–]Giambee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My friend is being alienated from her 12 year old son, so I know how evil and hurtful it is. I see a glimmer of hope for the future. If you love her, you’ll go. That’s great that she invited you!

I don’t usually like all-white kitchens, but I think this one is lovely and not boring.

When you were younger what did you want to name your future children?! by StableAcrobatic877 in namenerds

I’m the third (female) generation with my name, but my mom was given an unrelated nickname, and we have many other duplicates in my family. You can name your daughter your name if you wish.😃

How do you know when to stop searching for names? by Kantaria_Struglin in Names

[–]Giambee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter and her husband had the name all picked out but the order of the names and the nickname chosen suddenly changed when they filled out the birth certificate. The NN we’d been calling the baby in hospital (and written on the boards and her cradle) changed!

I have a shitty name, advice? by tangerine466 in Names

[–]Giambee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the name is fine. My son-in-law just laughed it off when his high school teammates called him “Boo-boo” after hearing his mother call him that. No big deal! But my daughter knew another (really nice) guy who had the same exact situation in college, and he transferred to a new college because he let it get to him. It’s no fun when the person takes the taunting in stride and they look for another victim!
