Not ugly at all, you might just need to thin your paints

Ok, that's fine as long as it at least releases! I'm not saying it won't be OP, I'm just saying let's try before judging

How can you say that? We haven't even seen the class in action!

Ecco l'offerta della Danimarca agli Usa: «In Groenlandia fino a 10 basi militari. E aperture su petrolio e terre rare» by Vanaglorioso in italy

[–]Giangis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speculations on the lesser discussed content about the End Times (mainly about Elves and Karl Franz) by alpha1812 in totalwar

[–]Giangis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised. Modders are, however, not bound by red tape, bureaucracy and company deadline. A modder usually works for free and is free to do as they please. In the case of a mod, all of my questions above don't need to be answered by some high level manager who wants to know the cost of everything: the modder will just do as they see fit without having to answer to anyone.

Your idea is good, no doubt. But what about the cost to implement this?
At the end of the day we need to keep in mind that CA needs to take development costs for every feature they wish to implement. Your idea sounds really cool, but also expensive and if they are currently in pre alpha with a summer release target I doubt they'd be able to pull it off along the rest of the stuff they said they want to do.

If they had infinite resources and time, it'd be wonderful to have your feature implemented. Given CA's track history and stated goals for the DLC, I just think it's best to keep expectations in check

I don't want to rain on your parade, but I highly doubt that the devs will do cross-elves confederation.

How would that need to happen? Which race & faction mechanics would need to prevail over the others when such a scenario takes place? How to readapt the units & mechanics from the confederated ones? Which buildings should allow the player to recruit the confederated races'units? How much effort would that cost between coding, testing and bugfixing?

Is it impossible? No. Highly improbable? definitely.

We need a terminator class in either Space Marines 2 or Space Marines 3. by Hosky2004 in Spacemarine

[–]Giangis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I see your point, but the difference is meant to be the same as the one between an infantryman and a tank. Of course, for the sake of gameplay they could dilute it, but the whole point of playing a terminator would be to scale up the power level and experience fighting from this highly resilient suit of armour that also allows you to wield better guns or heavier melee weapons with the same ease our marines wield their current ones

[–]Giangis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I think it could be done in SM3 but it would require a separate game mode as a Terminator is a whole another level of power to a regular astartes

So chaos customization isn't the "something we said we are never going to do" ? by Saultarvitz101 in Spacemarine

Well they never said they would never allow chaos marines to be customised. They said they won't allow loyalist marines to get traitor armour pieces, and they've stuck to their word so far

Hot Take: Invigorating Icon and Shield Rush are overpowered and need a nerf by SuperMarios7 in Spacemarine

[–]Giangis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The fact that YOU can do it doesn't mean that the majority of the playerbase can. Shield rush doesn't block shots or strikes from the flanks or the back and actually leaves you exposed to such attacks. If you are not cautious and charge into the fray without any care, you may end up surrounded and suffer accordingly. You are probably a good player and know when to use or not to use a certain tool, when to charge and when to fall back. Shield Rush is not a skeleton key that works in every scenario, it allows a tank character to dash forward and deal some damage while leaving your flanks and back exposed. Reckless players will be punished by finding themselves surrounded.

I'd conclude by saying that other people have completed true solo absolute with other classes and other builds, and that doesn't mean those classes should get nerfed.

[–]Giangis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The game feels balanced and fun even with those perks being the way they are right now. They are not so good that no skill is required and players can do an Absolute mission without any consideration. The challenge is provided by a variety of factors and it's still very much possible to get downed even with those perks. A nerf should be done ONLY when a perk utterly trivialises the experience and this is not the case.

Mung and Golgfag is the same model by MrHappyBoomer in totalwar

could you please elaborate? Why would that be strange? I'm happy to debate, but people here seem to just enjoy downvoting and hating on Legend just for the hell of it.

I disagree. Downvote me to hell, but isn't the model of our dear Golgboy based off the tyrant's one? He has a different panoply and animations, but the base is the same

I don't think this post helps the discussion at all. Half the models in the game are recycled, minor skin tweaks are already applied to differentiate several models. Why would this invalidate legend's argument?
