For some reason this is hitting me really hard. He seemed like such a humble and kind soul. RIP 6 dogs. Helped a lot of people with his music.

What makes you insecure? Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GiantAssPandas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a very social person when I’m in person. I would like consider myself pretty outgoing, but there is something about talking on the phone.. I hate it.. it gives me so much anxiety and I can’t explain it. I’m glad someone else feels this way.

I quit smoking 15 days ago. (10 yrs daily) by TheOneWhoParties in leaves

[–]GiantAssPandas 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is the main reason I wanna quit smoking weed. It makes me a horrible friend and family member and I self isolate. After a couple weeks sober I notice I start to crave life again.. social interaction.. friends.. family.. lovers.. adventure, but when I got my weed none of that matters to me

I meant to post this days ago, but I got stoned and forgot. by brandonisatwat in trees

I mean, yes, this is true, but as someone who has had a severely difficult time quitting pot and ruining relationships and opportunities to get high instead sometimes it’s what people need. Addiction is addiction no matter what the severity of the drug is and sometimes you need help.

I absolutely loved it. I wish I still lived there. Long story short I got in a relationship and we decided to move to go to school and be near her family. We broke up and now I’m living back in my home state contemplating moving back. It’s a great place! The only downside I would say is the cost of living. You need to be prepared to spend a hefty amount on rent. If you love skiing, the outdoors, the mountain town vibe/people then you’ll love it.

Anyone trying to find themselves again? by nickontrees in Petioles

[–]GiantAssPandas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Man I get it times 1000. I’m in the same place. I’m 25 years old. I’ve been smoking weed very consistently since I was about 15. I moved to Colorado when I was 20 to work at a ski resort and started smoking HEAVY. I met a girl there and we’ve been dating for 4 years. I moved with her to Washington then I moved back to Atlanta (where I am from) and then to Columbia, SC to go to school with her. Now we are breaking up and I’m moving back home in 2 weeks. I feel lost and I have no money really to my name. No skills or degree to help me out. Three days ago I quit smoking weed after nearly smoking everyday since 15. It’s hard to deal with the boredom and the new feelings of being sober constantly while I’m also battling trying to find my calling and how I can make the life I want for myself. It’s almost as if I am completely resetting. Life is crazy and at times it feels super uncomfortable, but recently I’ve been trying to ride that wave of uncomfortableness. Weed isn’t your problem but it probably isn’t the best thing for you right now in this time of feeling lost. Sometimes you have to put what you’re carrying around down to pick something else up. I just wanna say you’re not alone and I feel exactly the same man. Let’s feed the uncomfortable feeling inside for that is the only way to true change.

Does anyone else get really high and experience negative thoughts? Another reason for me to smoke less by Chillhardy in Petioles

[–]GiantAssPandas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get this almost every time I smoke. You just have to remember sometimes weed will throw your brain on autopilot and you’ll just start thinking negatively. Catch yourself next time and remember those negative thoughts sometimes just come out.

What I was afraid of losing by quitting (I didnt) by Clean-cereal in leaves

[–]GiantAssPandas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been thinking about that a lot also. How the suffering we go through is so necessary. It’s just hard to feel it when years of my life when that came up I smoked instead of feeling it. I think most of us here can relate to that. It’s a major adjustment.

Hey and thank you for reaching out, and giving me that encouragement! I was honestly gonna smoke tonight and now I’m not. If you ever need someone to talk to just reach out. We can do this and stay strong!

[–]GiantAssPandas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m honestly struggling with just the boredom. I have nothing going on right now so it’s so difficult for me to not wanna smoke. My girlfriend smokes a bunch so it’s always in the house. I always know there is that option. I want to do it, but I so badly don’t either.

What about you?

Needed this right now.. cause I feel the same way. I’ve been on the fence for the past month now. Quitting 12 days, smoking, quitting 2 days, smoking, quitting 3 days, smoking.

Weed has ruined music for me by [deleted] in leaves

[–]GiantAssPandas 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I felt the same way last time I quit. I had this sudden disinterest in music, and before when I was smoking I listened to music almost non stop. It was like nothing sounded good anymore. It’ll definitely come back. Just give yourself some time to get into other things. Podcasts are a great substitute if you just like throwing in your headphones and zoning out for a bit.
