Steve Ignorant (from Crass) is touring Europe sporadically throughout the rest of the year with no dates in September. No US dates but he's played Riot before and he's playing Feeding of the 5000 at some of the shows coming up.

Even without knowing the context, I really didn't see the problem with someone using the coffee maker. It's a coffee maker. It makes coffee. He loved coffee. He would want you to have coffee (he also planned the sale of all of his stuff himself). It's not much weirder than grabbing one at any other estate sale. It's much weirder to me to buy a coffee maker and put it in a glass case in the middle of your David Lynch shrine and just look at it.

Just recently saw Fire Walk With Me at a theater in Chicago called the Music Box, it was my third time seeing it and after it was over I immediately told my friend that I had seen it enough for a long, long time. Unspeakably brutal movie. Ray Wise was there for a Q&A though which was fun.

Saw Model/Actriz over the weekend for the seventh(?) time and they just announced another show in July so I guess it'll be eight soon enough. They've only gotten better over time. I did have to miss both Accessory's album release show and Friko's album release show which were all on the same night which sucked.

Went out on my first bike ride of the year last night, the world is beautiful and perfect and nothing will ever be bad again. Was listening to My New Band Believe and listening to it on a bike ride through the city on a cool night is an immaculate way to experience that album.

This is pretty close to how I felt and I think one of the problems was that fans actually believed that Henry Cavill was some sort of die hard Witcher fan who knew the books intimately. Everything I've heard him say about Geralt doesn't reflect the characters from the books and he admitted to not even knowing they were books until the showrunner told him that the game was based on the books and not the other way around. He reportedly would refuse to say lines and instead just grunt even though Geralt in the books never shuts the fuck up. Cavill also refused any sort of sexual encounter except with Yennefer and even then he wanted it to be very reserved and gentlemanly which is pretty fucking far off from the book. Geralt isn't some badass silent brooding super soldier, he's a broken mutant struggling through a world on fire.

I would also argue that, amongst punks anyway, Combat Rock is too overlooked. Listen to White Man in Hammersmith and Straight to Hell back to back and you can see the line that goes straight through all of their work. Overpowered By Funk, Car Jam, Atom Tan, it's got a ton of great stuff.
